CTV Barrie Appoints Lindsay Biscaia as Anchor, CTV NEWS AT SIX

BARRIE (March 11, 2021) – CTV Barrie announced today the appointment of Lindsay Biscaia as anchor for the station’s weekday CTV NEWS AT SIX newscasts. Biscaia assumes permanent duties as of Monday, March 15.

“I’m so excited to be a part of the hardworking CTV News team in Barrie, delivering the stories of the day to such loyal viewers across the region,” said Lindsay Biscaia, Anchor, CTV NEWS AT SIX. “I know sitting down at 6 p.m. to watch CTV News Barrie has been a daily routine in many households for decades, and I’m honoured to now be a part of that trusted source of news for families across the region.”

Biscaia joins CTV News Barrie from Global News Morning in Peterborough where she served as anchor and host. She also comes with extensive experience as a video journalist, on-location reporter, weather analyst, and radio broadcaster.

Biscaia is a graduate of both the Broadcast Journalism program and the Television News program from Fanshawe College in London, Ont. She is passionate about live and breaking news and understands the critical importance of delivering our community’s stories.

Outside of the newsroom, Biscaia is very active, and enjoys running, lifting weights, practicing yoga, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends. She considers herself to be a “dog person”, and is particularly partial to her Standard Poodle, Ella.
