TORONTO (December 14, 2015) – In what has been another strong fall for CTV’s schedule, the network confirmed today that it has also been a #1 season in the digital space, as this fall CTV.ca reached more Canadians than its competition across desktop and mobile platforms with a monthly average of nearly 1.5 million unique visitors. CTV.ca’s reach led Globaltv.com by +73% and more than triples the reach of Citytv.com. As Canada’s go-to digital destination for TV entertainment, CTV.ca was the only site to experience growth with unique visitors versus the same time last year, up 6% over Fall 2014. With an increased focus on video content and improved mobile experiences, viewers streamed more than 99 million minutes of video on CTV.ca throughout September and October, adding up to more than 15 million videos watched. One of the best sites for ad-supported long form video, CTV.ca had 333,000 monthly unique video viewers, which leads the competition by +66% over Globaltv.com and more than triples the unique video viewers of Citytv.com. “The continued strength of CTV’s schedule, combined with the superior user experience we provide on our digital platforms, is what has made CTV.ca #1 this fall and over the past year,” said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, Programming, CTV Networks and CraveTV. “Canadians have really embraced mobile viewing and we provide some of the best TV content in the country, while delivering an engaged audience which creates value for our advertisers and viewers alike.” CTV.ca’s position at #1 is complimented by another strong fall schedule for CTV, which remains Canada’s most-watched network. As announced at the end of November, CTV is home to six of the Top 10 most-watched programs and two of Top 3 new series with hits BLINDSPOT and QUANTICO, and has more Top 10 and Top 20 series than all other networks with total viewers and the key demos. Viewers can visit CTV.ca and the CTV GO app to catch-up on CTV’s fall line-up including new series QUANTICO, BLINDSPOT, and CODE BLACK, as well as returning favourites THE BIG BANG THEORY, GOTHAM, THE FLASH, and more.
