CTV NEWS AT SIX is Ottawa’s #1 Newscast

OTTAWA (January 20, 2014) – The BBM Canada Fall 2013 Ratings Report confirms that CTV NEWS AT SIX WITH GRAHAM RICHARDSON AND CAROL ANNE MEEHAN is Ottawa’s most-watched local newscast. Head-to-head, CTV’s supper-hour newscast has a 7.6 rating against CBC Ottawa’s 1.6, more than quadrupling the audience of its main competitor in the Ottawa-Gatineau Anglo market. Furthermore, CTV Ottawa earned a 14.6 market share in overall TV viewing, up 39% from a 10.5 share in Fall 2012.

In addition, audiences overwhelmingly turned to CTV’s noon and late-night newscasts, both of which enjoy a significant lead over the closest competitor, CBC.
