SASKATOON (December 31, 2020) – As announced tonight during the station’s CTV NEWS AT SIX, CTV Saskatoon confirms that Monica Kreuger is the recipient of the 2020 Saskatoon Citizen of the Year Award. “Monica Kreuger is a remarkable citizen with a strong entrepreneurial spirit,” said Jeff Bollenbach, General Manager, Manitoba/Saskatchewan, Radio and Television, Bell Media. “Her passion in helping others see their potential and create their own futures has made a positive impact that will be felt in our community for generations. We are proud to present her with this year’s Saskatoon Citizen of the Year Award.” Kreuger is the founder and president of Global Infobrokers Inc. She has volunteered and shared her skill and experience on the board of a multitude of organizations, including LutherCare Communities, Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, the Princess Shop, and Saskatchewan Intercultural Association. She has been recognized with many awards, including a YWCA Woman of Distinction Award, and was named one of the Top Ten Women of Influence in Saskatchewan (2008). The Saskatoon Citizen of the Year Award presented by CTV is an annual tradition now in its 54th year. Each November, CTV Saskatoon accepts nominations from viewers for the award, and at the end of December, the award is presented to an individual who exemplifies excellence in community service.
