Mi-Jung Lee, and long-time CTV weather specialist
Ann Luu.
CTV NEWS AT NOON and
CTV NEWS AT FIVE are now co-hosted by award winning CTV News journalists
Nafeesa Karim and
Andrew Johnson, with Karim moving from weekends, and Johnson joining the team from CTV Vancouver Island. Then, in the evenings,
Norma Reid continues as anchor for
CTV NEWS at 11:30, and
Mary Cranston moves from reporting duties onto CTV Vancouver’s weekend anchor desk. CTV News Vancouver’s award-winning lineup also includes
CTV MORNING LIVE VANCOUVER, with
Keri Adams,
Jason Pires, and
Marke Driesschen waking viewers up weekday mornings beginning at 5:30 a.m. PT with breaking local news, weather, and traffic.
“Mi-Jung is one of the great leaders in our newsroom as well as in our community, and she will continue to deliver the stories that matter most to our viewers as she helms our flagship Vancouver newscast,” said Ethan Faber, News Director, CTV Vancouver. “Nafeesa and Andrew make a formidable anchor team, and with our great team in the morning, Norma continuing to round out our local coverage on late night, and Mary assuming weekend duties, we feel we have a compelling new lineup.”
Lee has been breaking stories as an investigative reporter and anchoring newscasts for more than 25 years, winning many of the most prestigious journalism awards in the industry along the way including numerous RTDNA awards for excellence in journalism. Karim and Johnson are also veteran journalists, anchors, and RTDNA Award winners. Karim joined CTV Vancouver in April 2012, and has reported live on some of the biggest stories in the province, while Johnson served as Managing Editor and Senior Anchor for CTV Vancouver Island, which he joined in 2007.
Reid was honoured with the Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence, and has been a journalist for more than 15 years covering major and breaking news stories, while Cranston has interviewed a variety of high-profile politicians, athletes, and artists and is a recipient of the Edward R. Murrow award for Excellence in Innovation.
