TORONTO (December 17, 2024) – CTV Original crime-drama SIGHT UNSEEN returns for Season 2 as part of CTV’s Monday night lineup alongside 9-1-1: LONE STAR and RESCUE: HI-SURF, beginning Monday, Jan. 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. Filmed in Vancouver, SIGHT UNSEEN consists of 10, one-hour episodes, and is inspired by co-creator Karen Troubetzkoy’s recurring experiences with sight loss and her relationship with her sister and co-creator, Nikolijne Troubetzkoy. In Season 2 of SIGHT UNSEEN, Tess Avery (Dolly Lewis) and Sunny Patel (Agam Darshi) juggle thrilling new cases, the unique dynamics of their unorthodox partnership, and challenges within their personal lives. In the premiere episode, “Runaway Bride”, Tess and Sunny join forces with Tess’ longtime partner, Jake (Daniel Gillies), to investigate the murder of an unidentified bride who was found dead on a desolate beach, still wearing her wedding gown. Sunny is haunted by the home invasion that ended Season 1, while Mia (Alice Christina-Corrigan) helps Tess confront a troubling new symptom of her sight loss. The latest season of SIGHT UNSEEN features guest appearances by Sara Canning (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES), Katharine Isabelle (HANNIBAL), Michelle Morgan (HEARTLAND), Niall Matter (The Predator), Sophia McDowell (Return to Sender), Zak Santiago (Nobody Dumps My Daughter), and Matty Finochio (Woman of the Hour) as Owen, the newest member of Metro PD. Bringing a fresh perspective to crime dramas, the SIGHT UNSEEN production teams continued their commitment to providing authentic representation of the sight-impaired community through the incorporation of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles both in front of and behind the camera. The series also leans on series lead Dolly Lewis’ sight-divergence, and the guidance of sight-impaired writers and consultants from conception through to post-production. Viewers can catch-up on Season 1 of SIGHT UNSEEN on CTV.ca and the CTV app with no subscription or sign-in required. All episodes are also available for streaming on Crave. SIGHT UNSEEN is produced by Blink49 Studios, a FIFTH SEASON backed company, and Front Street Pictures in association with Sisters Troubetzkoy Productions, CTV, and the participation of the Canada Media Fund, the Bell Fund, and the Rogers Series Fund, as well as provincial and federal tax credits. In addition to directing several episodes, Stefan Pleszczynski (TRANSPLANT) serves as an Executive Producer alongside co-showrunners Karen Troubetzkoy and Nikolijne Troubetzkoy, as well as Blink49’s John Morayniss, Carolyn Newman, and Virginia Rankin, Front Street Pictures’ Charles Cooper, Bell Media’s Justin Stockman, and writers Brendan Gall, Shelley Eriksen, and Derek Schreyer.
