CTV Ottawa and Bell Media Radio’s Ottawa Stations Help Local Families This Holiday Season with 2014 Toy Mountain Campaign

OTTAWA (November 20, 2014) – Ho-ho-whoa! The 2014 Toy Mountain Campaign is now underway in Ottawa, and CTV Ottawa and Bell Media’s local radio stations aim to build a mountain of toys larger than ever before. From now through Dec. 23, viewers and listeners from across the Ottawa region can help local families in need by donating a new, unwrapped toy to the 2014 Toy Mountain Campaign in support of The Salvation Army. After helping to collect toys for more than 16,000 children last year, the CTV Ottawa team from CTV NEWS OTTAWA and CTV MORNING LIVE will be joined in their collection efforts once again by on-air hosts from MAJIC 100, 580 CFRA, and TSN 1200, plus additional on-air promotional support from the newly launched Ottawa’s New Country 94.

Toy Mountain encourages donations for children of any age between 0-12, but highlights Boys and Girls, Aged 0-2 and 11-12, as the groups with the greatest need. For gift ideas, supporters can download CTV Ottawa’s Christmas Shopping List. Donations to Toy Mountain can be dropped off at the following locations: 

  • CTV Studios (87 George St.), Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Toy Mountain Warehouse (361 Queen St.), Monday, Wednedsay, and Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • St. Laurent Centre (1200 St. Laurent Blvd., Customer Service Desk), Monday-Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Carlingwood Shopping Centre (2121 Carling Ave., Entrance #3), Monday-Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The 2014 Toy Mountain Campaign represents a strong partnership between Bell Media stations in Ottawa and The Salvation Army.
