CTV Programming Highlights: February 15 – 21

February brings the series finales of hit police procedural THE MENTALIST, and long-running comedy TWO AND A HALF MEN. CTV also delivers all new episodes of GOTHAM, CASTLE, THE FLASH, ARROW, and THE BIG BANG THEORY, as well as the season finales of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION and CTV’s hit original medical drama SAVING HOPE. Sunday, Feb. 15 7 p.m. – MASTERCHEF CANADA – “Constant Cravings” – NEW EPISODE The home cooks face their first Mystery Box Challenge in the MASTERCHEF CANADA kitchen. A classic and highly versatile ingredient sends them in both sweet and savoury directions. The winner of the Mystery Box Challenge must choose which of the judges’ favourite Asian food cravings the other home cooks must tackle, and a shocking elimination reminds everyone that they are only as good as their last dish. 9 p.m. – CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION – “Under My Skin” – TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE – PART 1 of 2 The CSI team investigates a murder with ties to two teenaged kidnapped girls. Lisa Rinna (AWKWARD) guest stars in the first hour of the Season 15 finale. 10 p.m. – CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION – “The End Game” – TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE – PART 2 of 2 In the second hour of the CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION season finale, the CSI unit faces the final showdown with the Gig Harbor killer whose motives are finally revealed. Meanwhile, Nick Stokes (George Eads) makes a decision that affects the entire team moving forward. Mark-Paul Gosselaar (FRANKLIN & BASH), Mark Valley (CRISIS), and Eric Roberts (SUITS) guest star. Monday, Feb. 16 7 p.m. – ETALK PRESENTS: ROAD TO THE OSCARS 2015 – NEW EPISODE Leading up to the most anticipated night in Hollywood, ETALK presents viewers with a guide to the biggest movies and the nominees over the past year. Hosted by ETALK Anchor Ben Mulroney and Co-Anchor Danielle Graham, the half-hour special features interviews with Oscar nominees including, Julianne Moore, Michael Keaton, Eddie Redmayne, Bradley Cooper, and Benedict Cumberbatch.  An encore presentation airs Sunday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. ET on CTV. 8 p.m. – GOTHAM – “The Blind Fortune Teller” – NEW EPISODE Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) takes Dr. Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin, HOMELAND) to the circus, but the day quickly takes a turn when the circus comes under attack. Then, Carmine Falcone (John Doman) enlists Butch Gilzean (Drew Powell, THE MENTALIST) to help Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) with the night club, while Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) is otherwise occupied. Also, GOTHAM’s next villain is introduced, and he’s no joke. 10 p.m. – CASTLE – “Reckoning” – NEW EPISODE – Part 2 of 2 In the second half of a special two-part episode of CASTLE, the stakes rise as the 12th Precinct matches wits with serial killers Jerry Tyson/3XK (Michael Mosley, SIRENS) and Dr. Kelly Nieman (Annie Wersching, EXTANT). With the clock ticking, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and the team must crack the case before the killers claim their next victim. Tuesday, Feb. 17 8 p.m. – THE FLASH – “Fallout” – NEW EPISODE After the nuclear explosion separates Ronnie (Robbie Amell, The Duff) and Dr. Stein (Victor Garber, POWER), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team believe both men are safe. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is thrilled to have her fiancé back, and prepares to resume their life together, while Dr. Stein returns to his wife. However, when General Eiling (Clancy Brown, SLEEPY HOLLOW) targets Firestorm, Ronnie and Dr. Stein must decide if they are safer together or apart. Meanwhile, Mason Bridge (Roger Hayworth, GENERAL HOSPITAL) tells Iris (Candice Patton) that there is something secretive going on at S.T.A.R. Labs, and Dr. Stein gives Barry some important information about time travel. 9 p.m. – MARVEL’S AGENT CARTER – “Snafu” – NEW EPISODE Peggy (Hayley Atwell) is cornered and more vulnerable than ever as Leviathan makes their move against her. As the SSR zeroes in on Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), they may pay the ultimate price, with their true enemy closer than they realized. 10 p.m. – PERSON OF INTEREST – “Q & A” – NEW EPISODE John Reese (Jim Caviezel) tries to protect a software programmer with a mysterious second life, but it’s unclear which side of her life the threat is coming from. Meanwhile, Claire (Quinn Shephard), a young hacker who Finch (Michael Emerson) tried to protect from Samaritan, reaches out to him for aid. Wednesday, Feb. 18 7 p.m. – ARROW – “The Return” – NEW EPISODE – SPECIAL TIME Malcolm (John Barrowman) puts Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Thea (Willa Holland) in a dangerous situation that lands them on Lian Yu with Oliver’s former enemy, Deathstroke (Manu Bennett, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies). A flashback reveals that when Oliver and Maseo (Karl Yune, Real Steel) returned to Starling City to retrieve the Omega bio weapon, Oliver looked in on his family, Laurel (Katie Cassidy), and Tommy (Colin Donnell, THE AFFAIR), despite being under strict orders from Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION) not to reveal himself to anyone. 8 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “Brown Shag Carpet”/ “White Orchids” – TWO-HOUR SERIES FINALE – SPECIAL DAY Jane (Simon Baker) agrees to once again pretend to be a renowned psychic, and be used as bait in an attempt to lure out a serial killer and give the FBI a chance to apprehend him. In Part 2 of the series finale of THE MENTALIST, Lisbon (Robin Tunney) accepts Jane’s (Simon Baker) surprise marriage proposal, but a killer’s quest for revenge may cost them the happy ending they’ve worked so hard to achieve. 10 p.m. – SAVING HOPE – “All the Pretty Horses” – SEASON FINALE In the shocking must-see Season 3 finale of SAVING HOPE, a devastating accident requires the help of Hope Zion Hospital’s doctors at an offsite army base, and Dr. Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks) and Dr. Joel Goran (Daniel Gillies) flip a coin to decide who will take the call. When Joel wins the toss, he and Dr. Zach Miller (Ben Ayres) depart for a heart?pounding day as they attempt to save the life of a soldier in dire circumstances. Meanwhile, Charlie and Dr. Dawn Bell (Michelle Nolden) work to save a victim of hypothermia, and it’s do or die time for Hope Zion Hospital’s surgeons-in-training when Dr. Alex Reid (Erica Durance), Dr. Maggie Lin (Julia Taylor Ross), and Dr. Rian Larouche (Danso Gordon) finally face the future and their Surgical Boards. But for Alex, the biggest day in her career is also about to become the biggest day of her life. The Season 3 finale of SAVING HOPE will receive a first-look on CraveTV, available one day before the broadcast premiere on Tuesday Feb. 17. Thursday, Feb. 19 7 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “The Great Pretender” – NEW EPISODE – NEW TIME Maggie (Kelly McCreary) gets upset when Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) dodges her questions about DC, and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Ben (Jason George) become concerned about Ben’s brother after he is admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, Dr. Herman (Geena Davis) starts to warm up to Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), and Richard (James Pickens, Jr.) feels manipulated by Catherine (Debbie Allen, A Star for Rose). 8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY– “The Comic Book Store Regeneration”– NEW EPISODE Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) receives some shocking news as everyone prepares for the reopening of Stuart’s (Kevin Sussman) comic book store. Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) teaches Sheldon (Jim Parsons) how to “let it go,” but can’t follow her own advice after she learns something infuriating about Amy (Mayim Bialik). Also, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) think they spot Nathan Fillion (CASTLE) at a restaurant. 8:30 p.m. – THE ODD COUPLE– “Pilot”– SERIES PREMIERE In the series premiere of THE ODD COUPLE, Oscar Madison (Matthew Perry) reluctantly agrees to let Felix Unger (Thomas Lennon), his uptight former college roommate, move in with him after both of their marriages fail. 9 p.m. – TWO AND A HALF MEN – “Of Course He’s Dead – Part One and Part Two” – SERIES FINALE In the one-hour series finale of TWO AND A HALF MEN, Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) is alive. Or is he? 10 p.m. – HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER – “Mama’s Here Now” – NEW EPISODE Synopsis currently unavailable. Friday, Feb. 20 9 p.m. – SHARK TANK – NEW EPISODE Interest in a scholarship app created by a student from Philadelphia ignites into the most heated Shark fight ever, with three of the Sharks walking out of the Tank. Also, a young couple from Vienna, Virginia provides micro-loans to those in need with the money raised from backpacks made of traditional fabrics from developing countries. 10 p.m. – BLUE BLOODS – “Only in New York” – NEW EPISODE When an emotionally distraught man holds Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) hostage at gunpoint in an interrogation room, Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) must try to meet his demands before he harms her. Meanwhile, Frank (Tom Selleck) is faced with a personal and moral dilemma when Garrett (Gregory Jbara) asks for help in dropping charges filed against him. Saturday, Feb. 21 7 p.m. – ETALK’s ULTIMATE OSCAR GUIDE – NEW EPISODE ETALK presents everything viewers need to know about this year’s hottest Oscar® races and the stars to watch at THE 87TH ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS®. The one-hour special features ETALK’s Ben Mulroney, Danielle Graham, Lainey, Devon Soltendiek, and Executive Producer Morley Nirenberg, as they highlight the Oscar® race, and feature interview clips with nominees including Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, the cast of Boyhood, Michael Keaton, Eddie Redmayne, Bradley Cooper, and more. Plus, the special also includes an exclusive interview with this year’s Oscar® host Neil Patrick Harris. 9 p.m. – CTV Movie: THE IDES OF MARCH – CANADIAN BROADCAST PREMIERE The George Clooney (Gravity) directed film THE IDES OF MARCH  takes place during the frantic last days before a heavily contested Ohio presidential primary, when an up-and-coming campaign press secretary Stephen Meyers (Ryan Gosling, Only God Forgives), finds himself involved in a political scandal that threatens to upend his candidate’s (George Clooney) shot at the presidency.
