

CTV’s THE LISTENER is Back in Action as Production Begins on Season 5
January continues with the highly anticipated premiere of the new CTV original series, MASTERCHEF CANADA, new episodes of the hit original drama series SAVING HOPE, the Season 2 premiere of smash hit THE FOLLOWING, and the continuation of the NFL Playoffs with the live CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. Thursday, Jan. 16
9 p.m. – SAVING HOPE – “Nottingham 7” – NEW EPISODE
With one of the Hope Zion Hospital doctors’ life at risk, Alex (Erica Durance) must put her personal and professional reservations aside in order to perform a surgery that could save the doctor’s life. Meanwhile, a patient’s routine check-up proves deadly, and Joel (Daniel Gillies) is left to uncover a medical conspiracy that extends far beyond Hope Zion Hospital. Charlie (Michael Shanks) attempts to help Joel unravel the mystery, but ends up preoccupied with helping his patient’s spirit.
10 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT – “Dissonant Voices” – NEW EPISODE
Singing coach Jackie Walker (2013 Tony Award-winner Billy Porter) is at the height of his career, with a featured role on television’s biggest reality show, “American Diva”, and a steady position teaching music at a prestigious New York City school. When a four year-old student comes forward with claims of sexual abuse, Detective Rollins (Kelli Giddish) asks the squad to be mindful of Walker’s reputation, but Benson’s (Mariska Hargitay) investigation uncovers evidence that condemns the popular personality.

8:30 p.m. – THE NEIGHBORS – “High School Reunion” – NEW EPISODE
Marty (Lenny Venito) and Debbie (Jami Gertz) are excited about their upcoming 25th high school reunion. Debbie has had quite a year since moving to Hidden Hills from Bayonne, but knows she will soon face her arch nemesis, the wealthy and beautiful Tina Giannulli (Lori Loughlin, FULL HOUSE).
9 p.m. – GRIMM – “The Good Soldier” – NEW EPISODE
Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) are called to the gruesome murder of a veteran working in home security. During their investigation, they discover the murder might be one of several revenge killings regarding a horrifying cover-up involving members of the army and military contractors. On the domestic front, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) accompanies Rosalee (Bree Turner) during her long overdue reunion with her mother and sister. In Europe, Adalind (Claire Coffee) sees hints of what she thinks might be her powers returning.

When Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) learns from Nicky (Sami Gayle) that there’s a deadly new brand of heroin hitting the streets, he begins an all-out manhunt for the distributor.

Olympic hero Silken Laumann reveals a dark and troubled past in an exclusive interview with W5. Plus, an interview with a Canadian ER doctor who saves lives amid the gun violence and carnage of Chicago’s mean streets.

After thousands applied across Canada, the Top 50 home cooks begin their quest to become the first-ever Canadian MasterChef. Competing for $100,000 and the MASTERCHEF CANADA trophy, each home cook must present their signature dish to esteemed judges Michael Bonacini, Claudio Aprile, and Alvin Leung. With friends and family cheering them on, only those with the most impressive dishes are given a coveted white apron and the opportunity to move forward in the competition.

Oliver (Stephen Amell) is conflicted after Laurel (Katie Cassidy) reaches out to Arrow asking him to investigate Sebastian Blood (Kevin Alejandro, TRUE BLOOD). Auditions for the Top 50 home cooks reach a dramatic conclusion as the final aprons are handed out. The cooks enter their first challenge, a Stress Test, where they must prepare a stunning chicken dish with very limited access to equipment. After a dramatic round of tasting, the judges choose the final group of home cooks moving forward to the MASTERCHEF CANADA kitchen.
