CTV Programming Highlights: Nov. 1 – 14

Programming Highlights for Nov. 1 – 14 on CTV and CTV GO include:

• From Prospera Place in Kelowna, B.C., catch the live broadcast of the 2014 SKATE CANADA INTERNATIONAL (Nov. 1)

• The exclusive broadcast premiere of THE HUNGER GAMES tells the dark tale of a 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence, American Hustle), who volunteers to compete in a vicious televised tournament to fight to the death for the entertainment of the masses (Nov. 4)
• Nathan (Will Arnett) lands the biggest interview of his career with professional basketball player Metta World Peace (guest starring as himself) on THE MILLERS (Nov. 6)

Saturday, Nov. 1

7 p.m. – W5 – NEW EPISODE

W5 follows the story of a woman whose attempt to hire a hit man to kill her husband sets off an unpredictable legal case. The hour-long investigation is led by Victor Malarek.

8 p.m. – 2014 SKATE CANADA INTERNATIONAL – TWO HOURS – LIVE IN ONTARIO, MONTREAL, AND CTV ATLANTIC MARKETS ONLY

The 2014 SKATE CANADA INTERNATIONAL broadcast airs live from Prospera Place in Kelowna, B.C. The event features many of the top figure skaters in the world in a head-to-head competition in four disciplines: men’s, ladies, pairs, and ice dance. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch many young athletes, who will be competing for the podium four years from now at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

Sunday, Nov. 2

8 p.m. – ONCE UPON A TIME – “Family Business” – NEW EPISODE

The race is on to track down the elusive Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell, LOST), who was once a foster mother to a young (Jennifer Morrison) Emma – whose memories of this event have been erased – in order to discover what her ultimate end game is for Elsa (Georgina Haig) and the residents of Storybrooke.

9 p.m. – RESURRECTION – “Afflictions” – NEW EPISODE

Bellamy (Omar Epps), now desperately ill himself, turns to an unexpected source – his shadowy government contact (Donna Murphy) – for help and ends up learning a shocking revelation about his past.

Monday, Nov. 3

8 p.m. – GOTHAM – “Penguin’s Umbrella” – NEW EPISODE

As violence between Maroni (David Zayas) and Falcone (John Doman) continues to escalate, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) reveals a new component of his manipulative strategy, forcing Gordon (Ben McKenzie) to deal with the consequences of his decision to spare Penguin’s life.

Tuesday, Nov. 4

8 p.m. – CTV MOVIE: THE HUNGER GAMES – BROADCAST PREMIERE

Based on the best-selling young-adult novel by author Suzanne Collins, the exclusive broadcast premiere of THE HUNGER GAMES tells the dark tale of  16-year-old girl Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence, American Hustle), who volunteers to compete in a vicious televised tournament in which 24 teenagers from a post-apocalyptic society fight to the death for the entertainment of the masses.

Wednesday, Nov. 5

8 p.m. – ARROW – “The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak” – NEW EPISODE

When a cyber-attack brings Starling City to its knees, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are pushed to their limits to contain the destruction. Life gets even more complicated for Felicity when her mother, Donna (Charlotte Ross, NASHVILLE), stops by for a surprise visit.

9 p.m. – CRIMINAL MINDS – “If the Shoe Fits” – NEW EPISODE

The BAU is stumped to find the common denominator among male victims in Montana, making it difficult to profile the UnSub.

10 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “Don’t Let’s Start” – NEW EPISODE – NEW DAY AND TIME

Owen (Kevin McKidd) becomes invested in a patient when he realizes she may have served in the military, while April’s (Sarah Drew) mother (Connie Ray, THE BIG C) pays her daughter a visit and bonds with Jackson (Jesse Williams).

Thursday, Nov. 6

8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY – “The Prom Equivalency” – NEW EPISODE

When the gang recreates a high school prom on the roof of the guys’ apartment building, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) feels pressure to participate in all the typical romantic traditions.

Nathan (Will Arnett) lands the biggest interview of his career with professional basketball player Metta World Peace (guest starring as himself), but when karma catches up with him, he risks ruining his professional reputation.

Henry (Ioan Gruffudd) and Jo (Alana De La Garza) discover there is a fine line between pleasure and pain when the death of a successful businessman and devoted husband points to a form of ritualized punishment.

A murder investigation launches Castle (Nathan Fillion) into what seems to be an alternate universe where he’s never met Kate Beckett (Stana Katic).

Tuesday, Nov. 11

8 p.m. – THE FLASH – “Plastique” – NEW EPISODE

After a bomb goes off downtown, the army, led by General Eiling (Clancy Brown, Cowboys & Aliens), rolls in and takes over the case, much to Joe’s (Jesse Martin) surprise. Suspicious, Joe tells Barry (Grant Gustin) that he and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs should look into the army’s involvement.

9 p.m. – MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “The Writing On The Wall” – NEW EPISODE

The team discovers murder victims with the alien glyphs on them that Agent Coulson has (Clark Gregg) been etching.

10 p.m. – PERSON OF INTEREST – “Honor Among Thieves” – NEW EPISODE

Shaw (Sarah Shahi) joins a team of international thieves in order to keep tabs on the latest POI, but an unexpected turn of events puts her in danger of being detected by Samaritan.

Wednesday, Nov. 12

7:30 p.m. – THE GOLDBERGS – “Big Baby Ball” – NEW EPISODE
When Mr. Meller (Bryan Callen, The Hangover) singles out Adam (Sean Giambrone) during a game of dodgeball, Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) intervenes to protect Adam and gets Meller fired.

After a body is found strung up in the Wildcat gym, Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez) becomes the main suspect. Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) argue over Ted’s innocence.

When victims with large social media followings are found dead in Maryland, the BAU searches for an UnSub taking on the persona of an Internet urban legend.
