CTV Toronto invites viewers to come out and show off their finest moves – and generosity – at a public skating party in support of Toy Mountain on Thursday, Dec. 19 from 5 – 7 p.m. ET at Colonel Samuel Smith Skating Trail, Etobicoke. CTV Toronto weather anchor Tom Brown embraces winter’s chill with open arms, reporting live from the event between 6 – 7 p.m. ET. Attendees who bring a new, unwrapped toy will receive a Toy Mountain toque and glow stick (while supplies last).
“I’m excited to hit the ice with our viewers in support of this year’s Toy Mountain Campaign,” said CTV Toronto’s Tom Brown. “I’m certain their generosity will be greater than my skating skills!”
Toy Mountain warmly welcomes the generosity of toy donations to all age groups. This year, a special campaign focus highlights the greatest area of need across the following categories: boys and girls, aged 10-13, and boys and girls, aged 14-17.
Toy Mountain’s dedicated website features a list of drop-off locations, as well as a direct link to donate online and receive a tax receipt from The Salvation Army. Supporters of the campaign can get up-to-the-minute information on Toy Mountain events happening around the GTA by following @ToyMountain on Twitter and joining the campaign’s Facebook page. Corporations and individuals can get involved by visiting http://www.salvationarmy.ca/ontariocentraleast/tag/toy-mountain/ or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY.
