CTV Two Programming Highlights: Sept. 1-15

CTV Two kicks off the month of September with the two-part season premiere of THE X FACTOR. Plus, the drama and excitement continues on new episodes of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

Programming Highlights for Sept.1-15 on CTV include:

  • Grammy® Award-winning artist Kelly Rowland and global pop sensation Paulina Rubio join Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato on the judging panel in Part 1 of the Season 3 premiere of THE X FACTOR (Sept. 11)

Sunday, Sept. 1

7 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVIE – HUNT FOR JUSTICE: THE LOUISE ARBOUR STORY (2005)

The Gemini Award-winning CTV original movie HUNT FOR JUSTICE: THE LOUISE ARBOUR STORY follows the heroic struggle of Canadian Louise Arbour (Wendy Crewson, SAVING HOPE), Chief War Crimes Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Arbour battles world politics and fierce opposition to prosecute Yugoslavia’s president Slobodan Milosevic for crimes against humanity.

 

Monday, Sept. 2

9 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVIE – LAST EXIT (2006)

The CTV original movie LAST EXIT tells the parallel stories of two ordinary women. One, a single mother (Kathleen Robertson, BOSS), who can barely support her handicapped son, and the other, a working mom (Andrea Roth, RINGER) precariously balancing her family with a high-pressure career.

Friday, Sept. 6

8 p.m. – AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL – “The Girl Who’s Scared of Clowns” – NEW EPISODE

Arguments amongst the models start affecting their performance. At a photo shoot where the model hopefuls take on the nail art craze, things start to go badly when a few of the models who have become close get distracted after arguing. Meanwhile, the guys play a prank on one of the girls, which throws her off her game.

Saturday, Sept. 7

7 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVIE – PLAYING FOR KEEPS (2009)

In the CTV Original movie PLAYING FOR KEEPS, a Caucasian woman (Jennifer Finnigan, MONDAY MORNINGS) has an affair with a married African-American basketball star (Roger R. Cross, MOTIVE) and challenges him for custody of their mixed-race son.

Sunday, Sept. 8

7 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVIE – MY LIFE WITHOUT ME (2003)

In the film MY LIFE WITHOUT ME, a young woman (Sarah Polley, JOHN ADAMS) conceals the fact she has terminal cancer, and lives her life with a passion she never had before.

Monday, Sept. 9

9 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVIE – WIDOW ON THE HILL (2005)

In the film WIDOW ON THE HILL, a young hospice nurse (Natasha Henstridge, Cold Spring), is hired by a wealthy man (James Brolin, Love, Wedding, Marriage) to care for his sick wife. After she dies, her nurse becomes the widower’s new bride. When he dies suspiciously leaving his vast fortune to his new Mrs., his daughter is convinced that her gold-digging stepmother is up to no good.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

8 p.m. – THE X FACTOR – SEASON PREMIERE – PART ONE

Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato are joined on the judging panel by Grammy® Award-winning artist Kelly Rowland and global pop sensation Paulina Rubio, as well as returning host Mario Lopez. Season 3 begins with the live auditions as the judges travel the nation searching for talent – both solo artists and vocal groups – who are willing to brave the panel for the chance to become a superstar.

Thursday, Sept. 12

8 p.m. – THE X FACTOR – SEASON PREMIERE – PART TWO – TWO HOURS

The live auditions continue on the second part of the two-night season premiere of THE X FACTOR. Judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland, and Paulina Rubio continue their search for acts with the vocal ability, charisma, and stage presence it takes to become a global superstar or breakout music act and win a recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.

Friday, Sept. 13

9 p.m. – AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL – “The Guy Who Cried” – NEW EPISODE

After a challenge has the model hopefuls exploring the streets of Los Angeles in their underwear, one of the guys can’t take the pressure and breaks down. At a photo shoot, where paint is thrown on the models, a few of the models are out of their element and fear it will show in their photos.
 

Saturday, Sept. 14

7 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVIE – TERRY (2005)

The Gemini Award-winning CTV original movie TERRY follows the story of national hero Terry Fox’s (Shawn Ashmore, THE FOLLOWING) unprecedented cross-Canada marathon for cancer research.

Sunday, Sept. 15

7 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVE – LICENSE TO WED (2007)

In the film LICENSE TO WED, a reverend (Robin Williams, The Butler) puts an engaged couple (Mandy Moore, Swinging with the Finkel and John Krasinski, THE OFFICE) through a gruelling marriage preparation course before he’ll let them get married in his church.

9p.m. – ETALK PRESENTS: CTV’S BIG FALL PREVIEW – SPECIAL EPISODE – NEW TO CTV TWO

Between onsets and exclusive interviews, ETALK gives viewers the who, what, where, and why to help plan their fall TV viewing.
