CTV’s QUESTION PERIOD and POWER PLAY Kick Off New Seasons in Advance of Canada’s Federal Election

OTTAWA (August 16, 2021) – With the 2021 federal election campaign officially kicking off, CTV News’ QUESTION PERIOD, the most-watched political program in the country, returns for its 51^st season beginning this Sunday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. ET on CTV, CTV News Channel, CTVNews.ca, and the CTV News app. POWER PLAY, CTV News Channel’s marquee daily political program, returns today (Monday, Aug. 16) with special extended two-hour editions for the duration of the election, weeknights from 5 – 7 p.m. ET on CTV News Channel, CTVNews.ca, and the CTV News app.

The new seasons of both of CTV News’ flagship political affairs programs are led by host Evan Solomon, with CTV News Ottawa Bureau Chief Joyce Napier hosting POWER PLAY on Fridays.

As Canada’s destination for debate and analysis of the most significant political news and happenings on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, QUESTION PERIOD delivers thought-provoking discussions on a wide variety of topics in Canadian politics.
