Danielle Mario Named Director of News and Public Affairs, CTV Saskatoon

A graduate with Distinction in Journalism from the University of Regina, Mario brings both community and international experience to her new role having told stories for Thomson Reuters, CBC, and the Saskatoon Star Phoenix. Most recently she served as Anchor/Reporter for CBC Saskatchewan. “CTV Saskatoon has a thriving, award-winning newsroom, and I’m honoured to be joining a team of such energetic professionals,” said Mario. “CTV is more than just a broadcaster, it’s a community member and a trusted name in journalism. I’m excited to see what we can do together.” “Danielle brings a fresh perspective and an injection of energy that will benefit the station and our viewers,” said Carl Worth, News Director, CTV News Saskatchewan. “We’re thrilled to have Danielle as part of the management team,” said David Fisher, Vice-President and General Manager, CTV Saskatchewan. “Her passion for journalistic excellence makes her the perfect fit to lead the Saskatoon news group.” Mario will assume her duties effective March 16, 2015.
