Toronto’s very own Drake is set to make an appearance on the second episode of LeBron James’ HBO series THE SHOP, this Friday, Oct. 12 at 9:30 p.m. ET on HBO Canada. In the new episode – which also features professional basketball players Ben Simmons, Mo Bamba, Victor Oladipo, and Elana Delle Donne – Drake and James dive into a variety of topics, from retirement and rap rules, to haircuts and fame. Here’s a snapshot of what viewers can expect to hear from Drake: “I think maybe one of my biggest concerns in my career is just to figure out how to exit gracefully. I’ve watched people overstay their welcome, and I just don’t ever want to be that guy that’s addicted to the feeling of victory, addicted to the emotion…” “Rap purists, and people who just love confrontation, they say, ‘eh man, there’s no rules’, but there are rules.” “I’ve had terrible haircuts for a huge portion of my life.” From executive producers LeBron James and Maverick Carter, HBO Sports’ THE SHOP gives viewers a one-of-a-kind barbershop experience, a place that for many, provides a sanctuary for free-flowing and spirited discussions. In the series, James visits barbershops around the U.S., having unfiltered and honest conversations with entertainment and sports figures about a variety of culturally relevant topics.
