MONTRÉAL (December 17, 2018) – CJAD 800 and CTV Montreal announced today that Elias Makos has joined the stations as a host and analyst. A lifelong Montrealer with more than a decade of experience as a journalist and commentator, Makos returns to Bell Media to begin his new roles on Dec. 31.
In addition to contributing regular analysis to CTV Montreal newscasts, Makos becomes the new host of CJAD 800’s popular weekday 9 a.m. to 12 noon ET show. The program features breaking news, interviews, debate, and listener interaction.

Makos takes over CJAD 800’s mid-morning timeslot from Leslie Roberts, who recently announced he will depart the station at the end of the year.
Since 2013, Makos has served as New Media Host for BREAKFAST TELEVISION MONTREAL, keeping viewers up-to-date with trending topics across the technology and social media space. Previously, he spent six years as a regular contributor to CTV Montreal, appearing as the station’s Technology and Trends columnist and as a freelance reporter. He also made regular contributions to CTV News Channel’s EXPRESS. Makos also served as a regular contributor to CBC Montreal’s HOMERUN radio show and for CBC radio’s national syndication service. Makos is a graduate of Concordia University’s journalism program.
