TORONTO (February 29, 2024) – As announced on ETALK, CTV revealed details for the most-watched entertainment event broadcast in Canada, the 96th OSCARS®, and CTV’s ETALK leads the way with the best access to the stars and excitement. The 96th OSCARS® airs live Sunday, March 10 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. ETALK provides unparalleled access through extensive multi-platform coverage, with interviews posted in real-time to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and CTV.ca. Tyrone Edwards anchors ETALK’s prime red carpet interview position – second only to host broadcaster ABC – conducting one-on-one interviews with the biggest stars in Hollywood. Meanwhile ETALK senior correspondents Lainey Lui and Traci Melchor have a birds’-eye view, reporting across ETALK’s social channels from their exclusive balcony position at the Dolby® Theatre overlooking all the red carpet action. Immediately following the ceremony, and for the first time, ETALK continues the celebration with ETALK AFTER THE OSCARS® (CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app), a 30-minute live show breaking down every major moment from the night. From the Hollywood Hills, Edwards, Lui, and Melchor debate the surprise wins, share behind-the-scenes stories, and engage in lively conversations about the fashion standouts and buzzworthy on-stage moments. ETALK is everywhere OSCARS® weekend, kicking things off on Thursday at the Consul General of Canada in Los Angeles’ annual celebration honouring Canadian nominees excellence in the entertainment industry. Co-hosted by Telefilm Canada and in collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada and the Talent Fund, Lui hosts the exclusive event, with ETALK there to capture the moments.  On Friday, the ETALK team, including Edwards, Lui, and Melchor, report on location from outside the Dolby® Theatre to bring viewers the latest OSCARS® news and behind-the-scenes coverage, as final preparations are well underway for Hollywood’s most-anticipated night. ETALK reveals even more from Hollywood’s biggest night, including exclusive interviews, red carpet highlights, plus updates from the official OSCARS® after party, the Governors Ball, the Vanity Fair Party, and more, during its annual OSCARS® recap show. Anchored from the Hollywood Hills, the newly extended one-hour special episode airs Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m. ET/PT CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. Follow @etalkctv for the latest OSCARS® news, behind-the-scenes dispatches from the ETALK team, plus full fashion coverage, extended interviews, and awards show highlights.
