BANFF, ALTA. (January 20, 2015) – From draw-to-the-button finishes to Banff’s breathtaking scenery, this weekend’s
PINTY’S ALL-STAR CURLING SKINS GAME proved to be a hit with curling fans – and a ratings winner for TSN. Overnight data from Numeris (BBM Canada) confirms that TSN’s annual curling skins game attracted an average audience of
461,000 viewers – marking a
40% increase compared to last year’s event.
An average audience of
more than a half a million Canadians tuned in for three of the six draws from the
PINTY’S ALL-STAR CURLING SKINS GAME. Overall, more than
3.7 million unique Canadian viewers tuned in to some part of TSN’s fan-favourite event.
The
PINTY’S ALL-STAR CURLING SKINS GAME, held for the second straight year at
The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre in beautiful Banff National Park, included a women’s competition for the first time since 2003 that helped to attract big audiences.

The most-watched draw from the
PINTY’S ALL-STAR CURLING SKINS GAME was the
women’s final featuring curling powerhouses Team Homan vs. Team Jones, which attracted an average audience of
579,000 viewers – despite being up against the
thrilling NFC Conference Championship.
The women’s competition also drew the second biggest audience from this weekend, with
Team Jones’ comeback victory over the up-and-coming Team Carey attracting an average audience of
543,000 viewers.
The
men’s final featuring Team Morris vs. Team Jacobs – the third most-watched draw – attracted
521,000 viewers, marking a 54% increase compared to last year’s men’s final.
