“It’s the Olympics of insults and sometimes feelings get hurt.” – Roastmaster General Jeff Ross

TORONTO (July 13, 2016) – Let’s get ready to rumble! From July 28-31, the world’s most venomous comedians make their way to the 2016 Just For Laughs Festival in Montréal for the bracket-style, insult-comedy television event, JEFF ROSS PRESENTS ROAST BATTLE. Inspired by the gritty, competitive comedy-club circuit, and a late-night must-attend at last year’s fest, the first three episodes of the four-part series air day-after-tape beginning July 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with the championship finale airing live July 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, exclusively on Comedy in Canada. With Roastmaster General Jeff Ross at the helm, ROAST BATTLE features competitors in a one-on-one insult standoff, mediated by an all-star panel of celebrity judges including Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Anthony Jeselnik, and David Spade, with referee/comedian Brian Moses keeping order between the bouts. Bringing their best burns to the table, comedians participating in ROAST BATTLE include Canadian comic K. Trevor Wilson (LETTERKENNY), Tom Ballard, Matthew Broussard, Jimmy Carr, Christi Chiello, Chris Cubas, Olivia Grace, Tony Hinchcliffe, Mike Lawrence, Ralphie May, Sam Morril, Mark Normand, Ms. Pat, Steve Rannazzisi, Earl Skakel, and Sarah Tiana. Taped live on location at L’Astral in Montréal, tickets for the Roast Battle are on sale now here. Leading up to the big showdown in Montréal, Comedy Central took the insults to the road in the ROAD TO ROAST BATTLE tour this past June, making stops in Austin, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. Highlights from the tour are to air on companion special THE ROAD TO ROAST BATTLE, premiering Monday July 25, at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy.
