Former Toronto Mayor John Tory Joins iHeartRadio Canada’s NEWSTALK 1010 and CTV News as Municipal Affairs Expert

TORONTO (December 13, 2023) – iHeartRadio Canada’s NEWSTALK 1010 and CTV News announced today that former Toronto Mayor John Tory has joined the networks as a Municipal Affairs Expert. In this role, Tory will contribute political analysis across multiple platforms, making weekly appearances on MOORE IN THE MORNING, CTV News Channel’s marquee daily political program POWER PLAY WITH VASSY KAPELOS, and CP24 LIVE AT 5. Tory will also be a regular contributor to CTV NATIONAL NEWS, CTV News Channel, CP24, and additional NEWSTALK 1010 programs discussing municipal affairs and the City of Toronto, and will provide insights on city-building issues affecting the provincial and federal levels. He will also contribute analysis to CTV News’ election coverage and specials, beginning with the upcoming Mississauga mayoral by-election. Listeners can hear Tory weekly on NEWSTALK 1010’s MOORE IN THE MORNING, airing weekday mornings from 6 – 10 a.m. ET on 1010AM in the GTHA, and available for listeners across Canada via audio live stream on iHeartRadio.ca and the iHeartRadio Canada app. POWER PLAY WITH VASSY KAPELOS airs weekdays at 5 p.m. ET on CTV News Channel, CTVNews.ca, and the CTV News app. Before his election as Mayor of Toronto, Tory hosted the weekday afternoon program THE LIVE DRIVE on Toronto’s NEWSTALK 1010 from 2009 to 2014.
