Montreal, October 17, 2014—On Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, RDS2 will present exclusive French-language coverage of Game One of the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series between the American League champion Kansas City Royals and National League champion San Francisco Giants (see full broadcast schedule below).

The Royals are playing in the World Series for the first time since 1985, on the back of an impressive run of eight straight post-season wins since the playoffs started. On the other hand, it’s familiar territory for many San Francisco Giants players, with the team reaching the World Series in three of the past five seasons. 

Marc Griffin and Alain Usereau will be on location at Kaufmann Stadium in Kansas City and AT&T Park in San Francisco throughout the series to provide play-by-play and analysis of all the action as the two teams battle it out for the right to hoist the Commissioner’s Trophy. 

RDS TO PRESENT 2014 ALL-STAR SERIES
The 2014 baseball season on RDS will not end with the World Series. In mid-November, an all-star team from MLB will head to Japan to face off against the Japanese national team, Samurai Japan, in a five-game series. It will be the 11th such series since 1908, and the first since 2006, with RDS covering all five games. More details will be released in the coming weeks.
