Saturday, Aug. 31

BACK TO HOGWARTS MARATHON

2:45 p.m. – HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE (2001)

Based on the wildly popular J.K. Rowling book about a young, orphaned Harry Potter who, on his 11th birthday, discovers he is the son of two powerful wizards with unique magical powers. Stars Daniel Radcliffe (The Woman in Black), Rupert Grint (Cherrybomb), and Emma Watson (The Perks of Being a Wallflower).

6 p.m. – HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS (2002)

When Harry returns to Hogwarts – still famous and a hero – strange things start to happen: The town’s folks are turning to stone and no-one knows what, or who, is doing it.

BACK TO HOGWARTS MARATHON

3 p.m. – HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN (2004)

Harry, Ron, and Hermione return for their third year at Hogwarts where they are forced to face escaped prisoner, Sirius Black.

 

6 p.m. – HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE (2005)

When Harry Potter’s name emerges from the Goblet of Fire, he becomes a competitor in the Triwizard Tournament, a gruelling battle for glory among three wizarding schools.

 

Monday, Sept. 2

BACK TO HOGWARTS MARATHON

2:45 p.m. – HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE (2009)

Voldemort is tightening his grip on Hogwarts and it is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry and Dumbledore work to find the key to unlock the Dark Lord’s defenses.

 

6 p.m. – HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS (PART 1) (2010) *Movie Premiere*

In the first part of the seventh and final adventure, Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality and destruction – the Horcruxes.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 3

6:30 p.m. – FORECASTING THE END *Series Premiere*

This new docu-series features some of the world’s leading scientists as they illustrate the different ”what if” theories of how catastrophic weather or natural disasters could possibly cause the end of days.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

6:30 p.m. – HACKING THE PLANET *Series Premiere*

A new docu-series that tracks the fascinating work of scientists developing ways to prevent, weaken or redirect threatening weather conditions and natural phenomena including tornadoes, hurricanes, and volcanic eruptions.

9 p.m. – GHOST MINE: BACK ON THE MOUNTAIN *Special Premiere*

The rag-tag team of gold miners and pair of paranormal investigators return to Eastern Oregon’s Crescent Mine to continue their quest for gold and evidence of ghosts at the notoriously haunted mine.

10 p.m. – GHOST MINE *Season 2 Premiere*

Season 2 digs deeper into the Ghost Mine mystery when the hit paranormal unscripted series returns to Oregon’s Crescent Mine. Located near the historic gold mining community of Sumpter, Oregon, the Crescent Mine is believed to contain high amounts of gold.

Thursday, Sept. 5

6:30 p.m. – SECRETS OF THE EARTH *Series Premiere*

This nine-episode series explores our planet with the same sense of awe and wonder normally reserved for alien worlds. Computer graphics, visual analogies, and a recurring cast of expert scientists combine to reveal new aspects of the world, from canyons of gravity that warp space and time to rain triggered by cosmic rays.

 

Friday, Sept. 6

9 p.m. – 40 DAYS AND NIGHTS (2012) *Movie Premiere*

When a colossal tectonic shift causes the sea level to start rising, a microbiologist gathers the DNA of as many species as she can. Meanwhile the military creates a “Noah’s Ark” in a desperate attempt to preserve life on Earth. Stars Alex Carter (CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION), Monica Keena (DAWSON’S CREEK), and Alex Arleo (SHARKNADO)

Sunday, Sept. 8

10 a.m. – THE COMPLETE DOCTOR WHO SUNDAYS

Catch up on Doctor Who before the next regeneration with the entire first season starring Christopher Eccleston as the Time Lord.

Monday, Sept. 9

6:30 p.m. – DEADLIEST SPACE WEATHER *Series Premiere*

Through the use of cutting-edge graphics and vivid explanations from scientists – this docu-series illustrates not only what these storms are like on other planets, but speculates what these extreme weather conditions would be like if they ever occurred on Earth, with examples such as Venus’s deadly acid rain, Saturn’s violent winds, and Mars’ massive dust storms.

Sunday, Sept. 15

10 a.m. – THE COMPLETE DOCTOR WHO SUNDAYS

See off the Ninth Doctor with the final three episodes of Season 1. Then, catch the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant (BROADCHURCH), in the 2005 Christmas special THE CHRISTMAS INVASION before starting Season 2 with Episodes 1 to 6.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

10 p.m. – HEROES OF COSPLAY *Season 1 Finale*

The reality series following cosplayers of all levels at comic book conventions around the United States. The season concludes with an episode filled with extravagant and visually arresting costumes and mind-bending transformations.

Friday, Sept. 20

9 p.m. – SUPERCYCLONE (2012) *Movie Premiere*

This disaster film follows a meteorologist and a petroleum engineer racing against time to divert a massive cyclone from a disaster path throughout the entire eastern seaboard. Stars Ming-Na (AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.), Nick Turturro (BLUE BLOODS), and Andy Clemence (Rise of the Zombies).

Sunday, Sept. 22

10 a.m. – THE COMPLETE DOCTOR WHO SUNDAYS

Wrap up season 2 of DOCTOR WHO with Episodes 7 to 13. Then, get in the Christmas spirit with the DOCTOR WHO special THE RUNAWAY BRIDE, followed by the first two episodes of season 3.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

10 p.m. – FANGASM *Series Premiere

This six-part docu-series celebrates the incredibly unique, often misunderstood, and infinitely fascinating fan girl and fan boy culture.
