MONTREAL, January 17, 2014—RDS is delighted to announce that Guillaume Latendresse, the former Montreal Canadiens player who has spent seven seasons to date in the National Hockey League (NHL), has joined the RDS team as a commentator and analyst.

RDS viewers will have the chance to see Guillaume on the shows L’ANTICHAMBRE and HOCKEY 360, as well as informative specials related to NHL hockey. He will also serve as an analyst for various NHL games broadcast on RDS.

“We are extremely proud that Guillaume has chosen to share his perspective on hockey with RDS viewers,” noted Charles Perrault, Vice-President of Information at RDS. “His personality, ability to express himself and recent experience in the NHL will make him the perfect complement to the strong team of experts already established at RDS.”

“I’m thrilled to join the RDS team and I’m especially eager to share my opinions and experience with the loyal fans of Quebec’s #1 sports network,” said Guillaume. “While injuries have kept me off the ice in the NHL, RDS has offered another way for me to live my passion and I plan to make the most of it by putting it all out there for the viewers.”

Selected in the second round (45th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2005 NHL entry draft, Guillaume Latendresse played with the Habs for four seasons (from 2006 to 2009), in addition to representing the Minnesota Wild and the Ottawa Senators. He was a key player for the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the QMJHL during his three seasons in junior hockey, as well as being part of Team Canada during the World U18 Championship in 2005.
