Gusto Gets an A+ in April with Back-to-Back New Episodes of A IS FOR APPLE

TORONTO (March 24, 2017) – Chef knives are at the ready as April welcomes a new installment of cooking adventures on Gusto. Fun and fresh, clever and challenging,  Gusto original series A IS FOR APPLE returns with a new set of culinary explorations anchored in ingredients inspired by letters of the alphabet. From Gusto Worldwide Media, the 24-episode, 30-minute original series airs in back-to-back episodes Mondays at 9 p.m. ET and 9:30 p.m. ET beginning April 3, exclusively on Gusto. Returning chefs Lauren Gulyas and Robert Jewell are joined by culinary expert Theresa Visintin this season in this unconventional weekly food challenge. Each half hour follows one of three chefs as they challenge themselves to cook with ingredients that don’t traditionally go together. Randomly picking a letter of the alphabet, chefs Gulyas, Jewell, and Visintin go shopping for two very different ingredients that start with that letter (apricot and avocado, beef and buttermilk, coconut and crab, to name a few). Then, it’s back to the kitchen where they create mouthwatering dishes for each ingredient. As a final challenge, the hosts dig deep and come up with one crazy but delicious dish that combines both ingredients. In the first set of back-to-back new episodes  (Monday, April 3 at 9 p.m. ET on Gusto), “L” is on the menu and Chef Robert Jewell rolls up his sleeves to combine lamb and licorice in one dish, followed by Theresa Visintin’s transformation of mango and mustard when she takes on the letter “M”. Also arriving this month on Gusto is Season 6 of home cook face-off competition series MASTERCHEF AUSTRALIA (Mondays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning April 3).
