HBO Releases First Look Image from BIG LITTLE LIES Season 2

In a Thursday afternoon surprise, HBO released a First Look image from the new season of BIG LITTLE LIES, featuring Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman as Mary Louise Wright and Celeste Wright. In addition to the HUGE news that Streep has joined the cast, here’s what else we know so far about Season 2:

• During a recent appearance on LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MYERS, Reese Witherspoon confirmed that Season 2 is in production and shared an on-set photo of herself and Laura Dern on Instagram.
• All seven episodes of Season 2 will be directed by Andrea Arnold.
• Most of the main first-season cast has been confirmed to return, including Witherspoon, Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, and Adam Scott.
• New cast members include Crystal Fox, Mo McRae, and Canada’s Douglas Smith.
