MONTRÉAL (August 12, 2014) Bell Media announced today the addition of Herby Moreau to its Québec team. He will become the new face of entertainment –  walking red carpets and attending various must-see events across Québec and the globe, for several of Bell Media’s properties, over the next five years.

“This is a golden opportunity to explore the artistic community and produce captivating Web, radio, and television content for the public,” said Herby Moreau. “I feel extremely privileged to do the work I love so much.”

Moreau first joins the team as Creative Director and Content Manager for enVedette.ca, the foremost entertainment and celebrity news site both at home and abroad. Moreau will produce a daily blog post, as well as vignettes and video reports that will be posted on enVedette.ca and Sympatico.ca’s Entertainment WebTV channel. Moreau joins other personalities already producing daily content on Sympatico.ca.

Moreau and his team will appear on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), on September 4. His reports and series will be available on enVedette.ca, the Super Écran GO app, the Virgin Radio 96 and VRAK TV websites (in collaboration with VRAK 2), the Sympatico.ca homepage, as well as on Rouge fm, among other outlets. His reports will be broadcast on the Bell box’s jumbo screen, which will be set up on the red carpet at Roy Thompson Hall throughout the festival.

Herby Moreau will also helm special radio and TV shows. Canal Vie will draw on his expertise to develop projects highlighting the channel’s close relationships with artists, while broadening its horizons at the international level. Details and other collaborations will be unveiled over the upcoming weeks.

About Herby Moreau
Born in Haiti in a family of three children, Herby Moreau arrived in Québec at age five, after a few years spent in Congo-Brazzaville, where his parents worked for international organizations. While studying cinema and communications at Université de Montréal, he worked as a television production assistant. In 1991, he relocated to France, where he then enrolled in the École supérieure de journalisme de Lille. He then found work in Paris at RFO, France 2, TV5 and M6. Moving back to Québec, he was a reporter for Petit Journal, then Flash, both shows on TQS. It was on the latter that his calling as a star chaser took off. From the OSCARS® to the Cannes Festival, Herby became the king of the red carpet. After hosting shows Star Système and Les Auditions Star Académie, he created District V for channel V. Today, this accomplished host and journalist helms his own website, Herby.tv.
