CraveTVTM’s #iCraveFridays release schedule continues today with the premiere of KINGDOM, starring mega pop star and heartthrob Nick Jonas. Family, fighting, and fierce competition are on full display in this mixed martial arts drama series. Created by Byron Balasco, KINGDOM stars Jonas, Frank Grillo (The Grey, The Purge: Anarchy), Kiele Sanchez (THE GLADES), Matt Lauria (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS), and Jonathan Tucker (THE BLACK DONNELLYS). All 10 episodes of the first season are now streaming on CraveTV in advance of the Season 2 premiere this November on Bravo.
The critically acclaimed series has already been renewed for 20 more episodes over two seasons. This is Jonas’ first major role in a TV series. Set in Venice, California, KINGDOM explores the world of MMA at a local gym and the relationships that develop and disintegrate between family and fighters. Alvey Kulina (Grillo) and his girlfriend Lisa Prince (Sanchez) run Navy St. Gym where they train fighters, including up-and-comers like Kulina’s two sons, Nate (Jonas) and Jay (Tucker), along with former fighting great, Ryan Wheeler (Lauria), who was recently released from prison and was once engaged to Lisa.
