As temperatures rise and the world’s climate becomes more and more unpredictable, iHeartRadio Canada provides perspectives on the benefits and burdens of climate change in the all-new weekly podcast series,
HOT TALK: A CLIMATE CHANGE PODCAST, available now on
iHeartRadio.ca, the iHeartRadio Canada app, and everywhere podcasts are found.
Hosted by
Elliott Cappell, a national leader in climate resilience, the 10-episode series aims to share the truth – or the many truths – about climate change in Canada through one-on-one interviews, roundtable discussions, and short stories with Canadian and international experts, politicians, and celebrities.
“During these uncertain times, Canadians deserve to know the truth about climate change in Canada,” said Elliott Cappell, National Director for WSP Canada. “HOT TALK provides listeners with the opportunity to learn about the facts and myths of climate change and its effects.”
In the podcast’s inaugural episode “
The War of Ideas,” Cappell welcomes special guest
Jerry Taylor, President and Co-founder of the Niskanen Centre, to discuss the diversity of opinions surrounding climate change. A former climate change skeptic, Taylor also shares his story, and the thoughts and ideas that changed his view.
The podcast’s second episode “
Yes and No! At The Same Time,” welcomes special guest Christiana Figueres, the architect of the Paris Agreement, who reflects on her work with nearly every country in the world on climate change. Cappell and Figueres also discuss how the world is doing five years on from the historic signing of the Paris accord and Figueres shares her advice for Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.
