HALIFAX (December 1, 2022) – In the giving spirit of the holiday season, iHeartRadio Canada’s MOVE 100, Cineplex, and Playdium, celebrate the 25th anniversary of their annual toy drive with live broadcasts taking place on Thursday, Dec. 8 and Friday, Dec. 9. MOVE 100 on-air personalities will be onsite at local Cineplex locations collecting new, unwrapped toys and financial donations with Cineplex and Playdium in support of The Salvation Army Maritime Division, making the season brighter for families across the region. Beginning Thursday, Dec. 8 at 6 a.m. AT, MOVE 100’s morning team Erin & Peter broadcast live, on-location from Cineplex Cinemas Dartmouth Crossing (145 Shubie Drive), providing frequent updates as donations come in. Midday host K8 Milton takes over from 2-7 p.m. AT. The toy drive continues Friday, Dec. 9 at 6 a.m. AT, live from Cineplex Scotiabank Theatre in Bayers Lake (190 Chain Lake Drive). “We are excited to partner again this year with Cineplex and Playdium to support the great work of The Salvation Army in our community,” said Trent McGrath, General Manager, MOVE Radio Halifax. “It is wonderful to connect with our listeners year after year and shine a light on their generosity.” Throughout the live, two-day toy drive, MOVE 100 listeners are encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys at any Cineplex location in HRM or Playdium Dartmouth Crossing. MOVE 100’s annual toy drive kicked off this year with the Holiday Parade of Lights, with the station’s on-air hosts, staff, and volunteers from Cineplex collecting toy donations from spectators along the parade route, to be distributed to families across the Maritime Provinces this holiday season. Since 1997, the MOVE 100 toy drive with Cineplex and Playdium has been a highly anticipated annual event and has collected thousands of toys for local families. Media are encouraged to attend at any point throughout the event.About The Salvation Army Maritime Division
