With live broadcasts from local Cineplex locations, the MOVE 100 CINEPLEX TOY DRIVE collects new, unwrapped toys and financial donations in support of The Salvation Army, making the season brighter for families across the region. Beginning on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 6 a.m. AT, MOVE 100’s morning team Erin & Peter broadcast live, on-location from Cineplex Cinemas Dartmouth Crossing (145 Shubie Drive), providing frequent collection updates as donations come in. K8 Milton takes over from 2-7 p.m. AT. The MOVE 100 CINEPLEX TOY DRIVE continues on Friday, Dec. 10 from 6 a.m-7 p.m. AT, live from Cineplex Scotiabank Theatre in Bayers Lake (190 Chain Lake Drive). “We are so pleased to be back this year to continue our partnership with The Salvation Army to make a difference in our community,” said Trent McGrath, General Manager, MOVE Radio Halifax. “We’re grateful for our listeners who have generously contributed in the past, and look forward to continuing the tradition this year more than ever!” Throughout the live, two-day toy drive, MOVE 100 listeners are encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys at any Cineplex location in HRM or Playdium Dartmouth Crossing. MOVE 100’s annual toy drive kicked off this year with the Holiday Parade of Lights. The station’s on-air hosts, staff, and volunteers from Cineplex collected toy donations from spectators along the parade route, to be distributed to families across the Maritime Provinces this holiday season. For more than 25 years, the MOVE 100 CINEPLEX TOY DRIVE has been a highly anticipated annual event and has collected thousands of toys for local families. Media are encouraged to attend at any point throughout the event.About the Salvation Army Maritime Division
