Tags: @CraveCanada, @Crave_PR, @TheLede_ca TORONTO (August 9, 2022) – Uncensored, unfiltered, and untamed…the boundary-pushing Crave Original series 1 QUEEN 5 QUEERS is back for Season 2. 1 QUEEN 5 QUEERS is hosted by world-renowned drag queen, and CANADA’S DRAG RACE judge Brooke Lynn Hytes, who moderates in-depth, authentic, and oftentimes hilarious, conversations with panelists – as well as new voices from the LGBTQ2S+ community – about queer life, and culture. This eight-part season, also available to French audiences with subtitles, returns with two episodes on Thursday, Sept. 1, followed by a two-episode weekly rollout on subsequent Thursdays.

This trailer includes adult content.

An update to the MTV Canada hit 1 GIRL 5 GAYS, which ran from 2009 to 2014, each half-hour episode of 1 QUEEN 5 QUEERS is focused on a single topic, moderated by Hytes. Building on the compelling, honest, and unfiltered discussions from Season 1, topics covered in Season 2 include: dating, drag, kinks and fetishes, aging, lifestyle, stereotypes, accomplishments, mental health, and self-care. The new season also includes a special episode with a cast of drag performers, and new segments featuring returning Season 1 cast members Cookiee Von C, Dwight, and Ivory. Some of the panelists joining Hytes on Season 2 of 1 QUEEN 5 QUEERS include: model and influencer Joey Pittari (he/him); Jay Baldwin (They/Them), an activist with cerebral palsy; Gwen Adora (she/her) a plus size sex worker; activist, broadcaster and filmmaker Sarain Fox (she/her); and Farra N Hyte (she/her), host of CALL ME MOTHER and Brooke Lynn Hytes’s drag mother. In addition, Absolut Vodka has come on board as a brand partner for Season 2. Taking inspiration from the Absolut Vodka mantra of “Born to Mix,” each episode of 1 QUEEN 5 QUEERS includes a custom “Born to Mix” segment with product integration into the set. In association with Crave, 1 QUEEN 5 QUEERS is produced by Bell Media Studios and distributed by Bell Media Distribution.  Brooke Lynn Hytes serves as Executive Producer and Host. For Bell Media: Executive Producer is Steve Jarman; Director, Entertainment Production and Executive Producer is Manny Groneveldt; Leah Borkwood is Director, Bell Media Productions; Tory Jennings is Director, Content, Crave; Justin Stockman is Vice President Content Development & Programming; Dave Daigle is Vice President Local TV, Radio & Bell Media Studios; and Karine Moses is Senior Vice President, Content Development & News.
