It’s Pay Day! PURE COUNTRY Announces the Winner of the $50,000 PURE COUNTRY Music Challenge

Cashing in her country music knowledge for the $50,000 PURE COUNTRY Music Challenge, loyal PURE COUNTRY 93 listener Sheilagh Bond was awarded the contest’s national grand prize by PURE COUNRTY’s Sophie Moroz and Jeff Hopper. Now $50,000 richer, Bond plans to put her winnings toward the new house she is building. Over five weeks, the PURE COUNTRY Music Challenge gave listeners from all 13 PURE COUNTRY radio stations across Canada the chance to put their country music knowledge to the test as they competed to name as many artists or songs as they could within 60 seconds to become their local station winner. With over $100,000 dollars awarded in total, each local winner was awarded a cash prize and entered into a draw to be one of three finalists competing for the $50,000 grand prize, with Bond crowned the PURE COUNTRY Music Challenge champion!
