It’s winter, which means more prequel news for GAME OF THRONES fans!

HBO

HBO revealed more details about its GAME OF THRONES prequel today. S.J. Clarkson – director of the upcoming Star Trek film – will helm the pilot episode and executive produce, while Naomi Ackie (J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode IX), Denise Gough (Colette), Jamie Campbell Bower (CAMELOT), Sheila Atim (HARLOTS), Ivanno Jeremiah (The Flood), Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia), Alex Sharp (Nasty Women), and Toby Regbo (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) join the cast as series regulars, alongside previously announced cast members Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse. The untitled prequel takes place thousands of years before the events of GAME OF THRONES and chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, and from the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend…it’s not the story we think we know. The series is created by Jane Goldman and George R. R. Martin, Goldman also serves as showrunner. Catch all seven seasons of GAME OF THRONES on Crave.
