JANUARY 6 – RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE *Season 15 Premiere*
- The most-awarded reality competition series in the history of the Emmys returns for its 15th season with two episodes on Friday, Jan. 6 at 9:30 p.m. ET and 10:45 p.m. ET. In this season, 16 new queens bring their all to the runway in an effort to impress the judges as they vie for the ultimate title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar,” and a grand prize of $200,000 – the highest amount in the herstory of the main franchise. In the season premiere, award-winning host RuPaul and mainstay judges Michelle Visage and Ross Mathews are joined by singer, songwriter, and actress Ariana Grande as they welcome a new cast of queens. RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE Season 15 follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes dropping Fridays at 9:30 p.m. ET.
JANUARY 6 – STARZ’s BMF *Season 2 Premiere*
- Inspired by true legends, Season 2 of BMF chronicles the unconventional journey to success of the Flenory brothers, Demetrius Flenory “Big Meech” (Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flennory Jr.) and Terry Flenory “Southwest Tee” (Da’Vinchi), who rose from the depths of poverty, navigating the war on drugs in Detroit, and became game changers in hip-hop and culture. Throughout the season, the Flenory brothers continue their pursuit of the American Dream, as they build a better life in a system that was stacked against them, and work to expand BMF into a multi-state empire. BMF follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Fridays on STARZ.
JANUARY 6 – HBO’s IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK *Movie Premiere*
- Having originally aired on HBO in 1996, following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival that year, IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK is a powerful, intimate portrait of three women living in the same house during different eras, who all face unplanned pregnancies. The vignettes follow a recently widowed nurse struggling to take control of her life in the early 50s, a mother of four balancing raising a family and maintaining a career in the 70s, and a student making a difficult decision with the help of one woman that changes the course of both their lives in the 90s.Directed by Cher and Nancy Savoca, the film stars Demi Moore, Sissy Spacek, Cher, Xander Berkeley, Hedy Burress, Anne Heche, Jada Pinkett Smith, Shirley Knight, and CCH Pounder.
JANUARY 6 – THE NORTHMAN *Movie Premiere*
- Prince Amleth is on the verge of becoming a man when his father is brutally murdered by his uncle, who kidnaps the boy’s mother. Two decades later, Amleth is now a Viking who raids Slavic villages. He soon meets a seeress who reminds him of his vow: save his mother, kill his uncle, avenge his father. Directed by Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Witch), and starring an all-star cast, including Alexander Skarsgård, Anya Taylor-Joy, Björk, Willem Dafoe, Nicole Kidman, and Ethan Hawke.
JANUARY 6 – WITHOUT SIN *Limited Series*
- WITHOUT SIN is a Nottingham-based psychological thriller that focuses on the life of grieving mother, Stella (Vicky McClure), three years after her teenage daughter is murdered. Wracked with guilt and remorse at the events of that night, she chooses to live a nocturnal existence as an Uber driver, until she is contacted by the Department of Restorative Justice with a taped recording of Charles Stone (Johnny Harris), her daughter’s convicted killer. Going one step further, Stella agrees to meet Charles in prison. But nothing could prepare her for what Charles has to say next. All four episodes drop on Friday, Jan. 6.
