JULY 29 – HBO MAX’s FBOY ISLAND *Series Premiere*
  • HBO Max’s new reality dating series FBOY ISLAND premieres with three episodes dropping Thursday, July 29. Hosted by comedian and actress Nikki Glaser, three women move to a tropical island where they’re joined by 24 men: 12 self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love, and 12 self-proclaimed “FBoys,” there to compete for cold, hard cash. The women navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a lasting love connection. By the finale, all will be revealed – who is a Nice Guy, who is an FBoy, and who do the women ultimately choose. FBOY ISLAND is a social experiment that asks the age-old question: can FBoys truly reform or do Nice Guys always finish last? HBO Max’s FBOY ISLAND follows a weekly release schedule, with three episodes dropping August 5, followed by the final four episodes on August 12.
JULY 30 – TOM & JERRY *Movie Premiere*
  • The family-friendly movie TOM & JERRY drops on Crave on Friday, July 30, just in time for the August long weekend. One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him. The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding, and possibly the hotel itself. But soon, an even bigger problem arises: a diabolically ambitious staffer conspiring against all three of them. TOM & JERRY stars Chloë Grace Moretz (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising), Michael Peña (American Hustle), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2), Colin Jost (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), and Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians).
JULY 30 – HBO’s THE SHOP: UNINTERRUPTED *Special Premiere*
  • The Sports Emmy® award-winning series THE SHOP: UNINTERRUPTED returns with a new installment Friday, July 30, live at 9 p.m. ET and on-demand the following morning. Joining Maverick Carter are NBA All Star Trae Young; Grammy-winning DJ, record executive, and author DJ Khaled; rapper, songwriter and activist Meek Mill; NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Chase Young; journalist and media personality Jemele Hill; and the SpringHill Company’s chief marketing officer Paul Rivera. In this episode, the all-star group discuss competing against your idols, dealing with conflict, creating leverage, and the new rule around collegiate athletes being paid. THE SHOP: UNINTERRUPTED is staged periodically throughout the year and offers conversation and debate between a unique ensemble of some of the biggest names in sport and entertainment.
AUGUST 2 – STREET GANG: HOW WE GOT TO SESAME STREET *Documentary Premiere*
  • Following its world premiere at Sundance and a screening at Toronto’s Hot Docs film festival this spring, the new documentary STREET GANG: HOW WE GOT TO SESAME STREET drops Monday, Aug. 2. From director Marilyn Agrelo (Mad Hot Ballroom), the film takes audiences inside the minds and hearts of the artists, writers, and educators who created one of the most influential and enduring children’s programs in television history. Inspired by the New York Times bestselling book Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street, the film focuses on the first two decades of Sesame Street, an experimental and groundbreaking period for the show. Its original creators Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett tell viewers in their own words about how “the gang” came together, how they stayed committed to their original mission – fighting educational gaps caused by racism and poverty – through eras of political and social change, and how they approached each obstacle with a wicked sense of humour and joy.
AUGUST 2 – HBO’s SMALL TOWN NEWS: KPVM PAHRUMP *Series Premiere*
  • The new, six-part HBO documentary series SMALL TOWN NEWS: KPVM PAHRUMP premieres with two episodes streaming Monday, Aug. 2 at 9 p.m. ET. Only 95 independently owned news stations still exist in the United States; KPVM in Pahrump, Nevada, 62 miles west of Las Vegas is one of them. This six-part, half-hour documentary series pulls back the curtain on life at the privately owned TV station revealing a colorful cast of characters in front of and behind the cameras. Executive produced by Emmy-winning filmmakers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (CATCH AND KILL: THE PODCAST TAPES, RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE), this docuseries provides an entertaining glimpse into the scrappy, hardworking local news broadcaster as they look to expand into a bigger market during challenging times. With warmth and humor, the series celebrates the can-do spirit, community pride and political diversity among the station’s charismatic and often humorous employees. SMALL TOWN NEWS: KPVM PAHRHUMP follows a weekly release schedule, with two new episodes dropping Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
AUGUST 3 – HBO’s OBAMA: IN PURSUIT OF A MORE PERFECT UNION
  • HBO’s three-part documentary series OBAMA: IN PURSUIT OF A MORE PERFECT UNION premieres Tuesday, Aug. 3 with all three episodes dropping at 9 p.m. ET. Directed by Peter Kunhardt (True Justice: Bryan Stevenson’s Fight For Equality, 2019), the multi-part documentary is a comprehensive study of Barack Obama’s journey from Illinois State Senator to the 44th U.S. President, against the cultural and historical moments that defined his political rise. Archival interviews and speeches from Obama’s career frame insights from a who’s who of political experts including Jelani Cobb, David Remnick, Cornel West, Sherrilyn Ifill, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson, as they analyze how race and politics intertwined to lead to the election of the country’s first Black president.
