- Crave celebrates Pride Month with a number of collections featuring movies, series, and specials that celebrate the LGBTQ2S+ community. JUNE 1 – FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM and
FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD *Movie Premieres*
- On Thursday, June 1, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM (2016) and FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD (2018) join the third film, FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE (2022), already streaming on Crave, to complete the entire Fantastic Beasts franchise, and spin-off prequel to the Harry Potter film series. All three films are directed by David Yates, and are available in The Wizarding World Collection on Crave.
JUNE 2 – MAGIC MIKE’S LAST DANCE *Movie Premiere*
- “Magic” Mike Lane (Channing Tatum) takes to the stage again after a lengthy hiatus, following a business deal that went bust, leaving him broke and taking bartender gigs in Florida. For what he hopes will be one last hurrah, Mike heads to London with a wealthy socialite (Salma Hayek) who lures him with an offer he can’t refuse, and an agenda all her own. With everything on the line, once Mike discovers what she truly has in mind, will he—and the roster of hot new dancers he’ll have to whip into shape—be able to pull it off?
JUNE 2 – BAD BEHAVIOUR, *Series Premiere*
- BAD BEHAVIOUR follows the story of a group of teenage girls at an exclusive boarding school, while exploring themes of self-exploration, power dynamics, and the impact of teenage years on adulthood. Based on the book by Rebecca Starford, the four-part drama follows Jo Mackenzie (Jana McKinnon), who at the age of 25 comes face-to-face with her former school friend Alice Kang (Yerin Ha) as the pair are forced to confront the brutal year they spent together at the exclusive girls’ boarding school, Silver Creek. The series drops Friday, June 2, and follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes streaming Fridays on STARZ.
JUNE 2 – HBO’s PAINTING WITH JOHN *Season 3 Premiere*
- Cult-favorite musician, actor, director, painter, and The Lounge Lizards founder John Lurie, returns to HBO for a third season of PAINTING WITH JOHN, on Friday, June 2 at 11 p.m. ET. A fireside chat that seems to constantly plummet into delightful mayhem, each half-hour episode finds the artist enhancing his intricate watercolour techniques while reflecting on life lessons big and small. The series combines Lurie’s irreverent point-of-view with dynamic captures of his paintings and original music, vivid retellings of his wildest memories, and even some of his luminary toast.
JUNE 4 – HBO’s THE IDOL *Series Premiere*
- Co-created by Sam Levinson (HBO’s EUPHORIA), Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, and Reza Fahim, and starring Tesfaye and Lily-Rose Depp, the HBO Original drama series THE IDOL debuts Sunday, June 4 at 9 p.m. ET. After a nervous breakdown derailed Jocelyn’s (Depp) last tour, she’s determined to claim her rightful status as the greatest and sexiest pop star in America. Her passions are reignited by Tedros (Tesfaye), a nightclub impresario with a sordid past. Will her romantic awakening take her to glorious new heights or the deepest and darkest depths of her soul? An official selection of the 2023 Festival de Cannes, THE IDOL follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
JUNE 6 – HBO’s BURDEN OF PROOF *Series Premiere*
- When 15-year-old Jennifer Pandos went missing in 1987, her parents told everyone she ran away. Decades later, her brother Stephen begins a relentless odyssey in search of the truth. His investigation into the case threatens to destroy his family as he becomes strongly convinced that his parents are both implicated in the crime. As time passes, more threads unravel and new evidence comes to light, Stephen starts to question everything he has come to believe. The four-part series, BURDEN OF PROOF, premieres with two episodes on Tuesday, June 6 at 9 p.m. ET.
