JUNE 10 –STARSTRUCK *Series Premiere*
- From comedian Rose Matafeo (Baby Done, Horndog), the new series STARSTRUCK debuts on Thursday, June 10. The romantic comedy follows Jessie (Matafeo), a millennial living in East London, juggling two dead-end jobs, and navigating the awkward morning-after-the-night-before when she discovers the complications of accidentally sleeping with famous movie star Tom (Nikesh Patel). What she thought would become an amusing anecdote soon turns into something more, as the couple realize they can’t keep away from each other. The ensemble cast also includes Sindhu Vee, Emma Sidi, and Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting). The series is co-written by Matafeo and Alice Snedden.
JUNE 11 – HBO’s BETTY *Season 2 Premiere*
- Based on creator Crystal Moselle’s 2018 Sundance hit Skate Kitchen, BETTY returns for a second season, Friday, June 11 at 11 p.m. ET. The series follows five young women on journeys of self-discovery against the backdrop of New York City’s male-dominated skateboarding scene. In Season 2, the five protagonists are stepping firmly into womanhood and tackling all the challenges it brings. As they navigate the pressures of adulthood, their male counterparts start to step up, step in, and become true allies, forming a united front for the greater good. Set in the last chapter of 2020, the season captures the late summer and early fall COVID-19 months in New York City, where masks and outside activities are the norm. BETTY follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Fridays at 11 p.m. ET.
JUNE 11 – GOSSIP GIRL *Seasons 1-6*
- In advance of the upcoming GOSSIP GIRL reboot from HBO Max premiering July 8, only on Crave, all six seasons of the original hit drama series drop on Friday, June 11. GOSSIP GIRL follows the lives of privileged teenagers on the Upper East Side who can hide no secret from the ruthless blogger who is always watching. The series begins as Manhattan prep school teens learn that Serena van der Woodsen, once the Upper East Side’s most notorious party girl, is back in town. The series gave rise to stars including Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen), Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf), Penn Badgley (Dan Humphrey), and Chase Crawford (Nate Archibald).
JUNE 13 – STARZ’s BLINDSPOTTING *Series Premiere*
- STARZ’s new 30-minute dramedy, BLINDSPOTTING, begins streaming Sunday, June 13. BLINDSPOTTING centres on Ashley (Jasmine Cephas Jones, #FREERAYSHAWN, Hamilton An American Musical) who is nipping at the heels of a middle class life in Oakland until her partner Miles (Rafael Casal) is suddenly incarcerated, leaving her to navigate a chaotic and humorous existential crisis when she is forced to move in with Miles’ mother Rainey, played by Helen Hunt. Benjamin Earl Turner, Atticus Woodward (SHAMELESS), Jaylen Barron (FREE REIN), and Candace Nicholas-Lippman (GOOD TROUBLE) also star. BLINDSPOTTING follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes of the series available to stream Sundays on STARZ.
JUNE 14 – HBO’s IN TREATMENT *Season 4 Final Episodes*
- The final 10 episodes of HBO’s Emmy®-winning drama series IN TREATMENT are available to stream early, dropping all at once beginning Monday, June 14 at 9 p.m. ET, on Crave. Emmy winner Uzo Aduba (MRS. AMERICA, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) plays the observant, empathetic Dr. Brooke Taylor, the therapist at the center of the season. The reimagining of the series is set in present-day Los Angeles, and brings a diverse trio of patients in session with Brooke to help navigate a variety of modern concerns. Issues such as the global pandemic and recent major social and cultural shifts are a backdrop to the work Brooke will undertake – all while she deals with complications in her own personal life.
JUNE 16 – THE HANDMAID’S TALE *Season Finale*
- Season 4 of THE HANDMAID’S TALE wraps up with the season finale dropping Wednesday, June 9 at 9 p.m. ET. The most recent season of the series has been garnering critical acclaim, being called “the best The Handmaid’s Tale has been since its first season” by Vulture, “an utterly transportive TV show” by Indie Wire, and with Paste Magazine calling series star Elisabeth Moss (June) “one of the finest actresses this side of Meryl Streep.”.
