This June, CraveTV dials up the heat with all-new powerhouse programming from SHOWTIME, plus fresh content for #iCraveFridays including the debut of CLASS. New series, documentaries, specials that begin streaming June 1 include:
  • Season 5 of the Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning drama series HOMELAND begins streaming Thursday, June 1. Season 5 picks up two years after Carrie Mathison’s (Emmy, Screen Actors Guild, and Golden Globe award winner Clarie Danes) ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief, as finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working as the head of security for a German philanthropist.
  • From Canadian comic icon Jim Carrey, and starring Academy Award®-winner Melissa Leo (TREME), the new SHOWTIME series I’M DYING UP HERE is set during the heyday of Hollywood’s stand-up scene. Premiering on Sunday, June 4 at 10 p.m. ET, the series explores L.A.’s famed ‘70s stand-up comedy scene where the careers of legends such as David Letterman, Jay Leno, and Richard Pryor flourished, as many comedians bare-knuckled their way for a chance to make it on Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show. The premiere episode is now available as a sneak preview.
  • Following an immensely anticipated debut on May 21, TWIN PEAKS, the new must-see television event of the year, continues with new episodes in June, Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET.“A lavishly erotic return to original madness” opines The Globe and Mail’s John Doyle about the series, while The Toronto Star’s Debra Yeo says “Lynch is still more than capable of confounding and unsettling us”.
  • Season 1 of the sci-fi drama series CLASS, a spin-off of the hit DOCTOR WHO, begins streaming Friday, June 9. Centred around Coal Hill Academy, CLASSfollows the day-to-day adventures of the students coping with intrusions from space and time. Starring Greg Austin (MR. SELFRIDGE) as Charlie, Fady Elsayed (THE ALIENS) as Ram, Sophie Hopkins as April, and Vivian Oparah as Tanya.
  • Fresh off its recent world premiere at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, BECOMING CARY GRANT debuts Friday, June 9 at 9 p.m. ET. Using words and insights from his unpublished autobiography and new discovered personal footage, the documentary unveils the intimate story of Archie Leach, the man behind the mask of the beloved and charming Hollywood legend known as Cary Grant.
  • An unprecedented television event, THE PUTIN INTERVIEWS is a four-hour documentary series featuring a series of revealing interviews between Oscar®-winning writer and director Oliver Stone and Russian president Vladimir Putin. Debuting Monday, June 12 at 9 p.m. ET, four one-hour episodes stream over four consecutive nights.
  • From executive producer Mark Wahlberg (BOARDWALK EMPIRE, ENTOURAGE) and starring Ryan Phillippe (DAMAGES), Season 1 of the drama series SHOOTER begins streaming Friday, June 16. Based on the 2007 film of the same name, the series centres around former Marine sniper Bob Lee Swagger (Phillippe), an elite marksman living in exile after retiring from the military.
  • CraveTV celebrates the 150th anniversary of Canadian confederation with the two-hour crowd-sourced special CANADA IN A DAY, created entirely from videos made by Canadians over the course of 24 hours, reflecting the thoughts, hopes, and lives of our countrymen and women from coast-to-coast-to-coast. The special premieres Friday, June 30, just in time for Canada Day.
