TORONTO (July 18, 2013) – Dutch is heading to his home province of Saskatchewan alongside Jen, as Rocanville, Sask. has been named the eighth winning community in this year’s Kraft Celebration Tour. As part of the Kraft Celebration Tour, Rocanville receives $25,000 to put towards upgrading the Rocanville Aquatic Centre.
Rocanville will also host a special edition of SPORTSCENTRE featuring anchors Darren Dutchyshen and Jennifer Hedger when they broadcast live from the Saskatchewan community on Friday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. ET on TSN.

“Rocanville needs to be able to continue operating the Aquatic Centre – it’s such an integral part of their community,” said Jack Hewitt, Vice-President, Marketing Insights and Services, Kraft Canada. “Places like this Aquatic Centre are the hubs for keeping Canadians active in communities coast to coast and we’re very happy to help support this project.”
About Rocanville, Sask.
Established in 1904, the town of Rocanville is located in southeast Saskatchewan on the edge of the Qu’Appelle Valley. The small but thriving farming and mining community is home to 1,000 people and is known for producing high quality potash, as well as oil.
The $25,000 prize money from the Kraft Celebration Tour will go towards upgrading the Rocanville Aquatic Centre. The community’s indoor pool requires extensive repairs to get it back into operation.
Rocanville was named to the Kraft Celebration Tour after winning a national, head-to-head online vote over Esterhazy, Sask. Rocanville brought home the victory with 138,131 votes, while Esterhazy amassed a total of 98,961 votes in support of its nomination.
Voting
Canadians can decide the other winning communities for the Kraft Celebration Tour, with one pair of communities featured each weekday through to tomorrow (Friday, July 19). Canadians can visit KraftCelebrationTour.ca or Tourneedecelebrationkraft.ca to vote for their favourite communities (see below for match-ups and scheduled voting dates). Voting is unlimited and runs from 12 noon ET each day for a 24-hour period.
During the voting period, SPORTSCENTRE on TSN and SPORTS 30 on RDS profile each match-up with a look at the duelling communities and their proposed community projects. Results of each vote will be announced the following weekday on SPORTSCENTRE and SPORTS 30.The other communities selected as finalists for the Kraft Celebration Tour, along with their match-ups and scheduled voting dates, are as follows:
