Following tonight’s episode, all eight teams will keep on racing to Sudbury, Ontario in next week’s episode of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, airing Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO. Father and daughter duo Simi and Ope from Burnaby, B.C. struggled through the series’ first ever Face Off challenge, which had teams play kayak hockey in the frigid waters of the Atlantic, off the coast of Quebéc’s Magdalen Islands. Falling behind the pack, Simi and Ope arrived last to the Pit Stop at Grosse Île moments after Neil and Kristin, but were spared from elimination. **Media Note** To download artwork for THE AMAZING RACE CANADA please visit BellMediaPR.ca  Episode 305 Recap From the Pit Start in Halifax, all eight teams travelled to the Magdalen Islands, one of Québec’s best kept secrets in the Gulf of the St. Lawrence, known for its agriculture and stunning landscapes. Once there, teams had to correctly pack a Chevy Colorado with gear needed for the leg, and drive themselves to Plage de la Dune du Sud. At the Road Block, teams brought out their inner children in a sand castle building competition. Neil and Kristin struggled through the challenge, and after Kristin spent too long in the cold sand they made a visit to the emergency room to check out muscle cramps in her legs. Teams then made their way to Monument aux Pêcheurs to compete in the series’ first ever Face Off challenge – a head-to-head game of kayak hockey in the frigid waters of the Atlantic, where the winning team continued on, while the losing team had to wait for the next team to battle. After Simi and Ope struggled through the Face Off, losing to four teams, they decided to take a four-hour time penalty. Due to Kristin’s leg injury, she and Neil also decided to take the penalty instead of competing in kayak hockey. At the Detour, teams chose between ride it or pull it. In ride it, racers had to ride a horse through an obstacle course in eight minutes or less. In pull it, teams worked on a family farm, where they first rolled a 75-pound hay bale from the pasture to the farm, and then milked a cow by hand, each filling a one litre bottle with milk. Teams then made their way to L’escalier de La Pointe Aux Meules, where they were warned of the double U-turn ahead. Gino and Jesse U-turned Brent and Sean, who then chose to U-Turn Nic and Sabrina, in hopes they wouldn’t be the last team to the Pit Stop. Gino and Jesse were the first to arrive at the Pit Stop at Grosse Île, winning the leg. Host Jon Montgomery greeted them with their leg prize – a trip for two from Air Canada to any one of their Canadian Destinations, plus free gas for a year from Petro Canada.
