

TSN Delivers Extensive Coverage of the Formula One MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: STP 500

TORONTO (March 27, 2014) – Kevin Koe and his Canadian champion Alberta rink compete against the world’s top men’s curling teams at the 2014 WORLD MEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP, live on TSN from Beijing, China. Following the FORD WOMEN’S WORLD CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP gold medal match that attracted record-breaking audiences to TSN, the network’s exclusive live coverage of the tournament begins this Saturday, March 29 at 7 a.m. ET with Canada’s opening draw against Denmark.
TSN showcases Team Canada on each day of the tournament’s opening round, and also delivers the Page Playoffs, Semifinal, and Final (see broadcast schedule below). In addition, French-language coverage of the 2014 WORLD MEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP is available on RDS2.
TSN’s coverage is available to TSN subscribers for live streaming and on-demand viewing at no additional charge on smartphones, tablets, and computers through TSN GO.
Team Canada is represented by Koe’s Brier champion team, including third Pat Simmons, second Carter Rycroft, and lead Nolan Thiessen. A two-time Brier champion, Koe captured his first WORLD MEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP title at Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy in 2010. His team is looking to avenge Canada’s loss to Sweden in last year’s Final when competition begins this weekend.
TSN’s esteemed broadcast team of Vic Rauter and two-time Brier champion and Olympic gold medallist Russ Howard will be in the booth in Beijing to deliver the call from the 2014 WORLD MEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP.
