TORONTO (October 30, 2015) – TSN and RDS kicked off the MLS CUP PLAYOFFS with a record audience for last night’s historic all-Canadian playoff matchup between the Montreal Impact and Toronto FC. Overnight data from Numeris confirms an average audience of 582,000 viewers tuned in to see the all-Canadian matchup on TSN (263,000) and RDS (319,000), making it the most-watched MLS game ever on the two networks.
Overall, more than 2.6 million unique viewers tuned in to see international superstar Didier Drogba and the Montreal Impact secure a decisive 3-0 victory over Toronto FC.
The MLS CUP PLAYOFFS continues this weekend on TSN and RDS, with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Montreal Impact kicking off the first leg of the Conference Semifinals.
