TORONTO (March 9, 2016) THE ODD COUPLE returns for Season 2 as television’s favourite mismatched roommates renew their lease Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, beginning April 7 on CTV and CTV GO. Starring Emmy® nominee Matthew Perry (FRIENDS) as endearing slob Oscar Madison and Thomas Lennon (DAWN OF THE CROODS) as uptight neat freak Felix Unger, THE ODD COUPLE was the #1 new comedy in Canada last season, with an average audience of 1.8 million viewers on CTV. Airing immediately after Canada’s #1 series THE BIG BANG THEORY, THE ODD COUPLE is the latest addition to CTV’s mid-season schedule. Guest starring in a multi-episode arc this season is Golden Globe® winner Teri Hatcher (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES), who plays a single mom, and meets Oscar after he starts dating her nanny. Also new this season, Gary Marshall (LAVERNE & SHIRLEY), series Executive Consultant and Creator of the original 1970s THE ODD COUPLE television series, joins the cast as Oscar’s father. With the return of THE ODD COUPLE, the new hit super hero series DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW moves back a half-hour to Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV. A Top 3 series among new programs this mid-season, DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is delivering an average audience of 1.5 million viewers on CTV. In THE ODD COUPLE, two former college buddies, Oscar and Felix, become unlikely roommates after the demise of their marriages. Despite how exasperated Oscar and Felix make each other, in the end, these mismatched friends agree they can help each other move on from their divorces and somehow make this crazy living arrangement work.
