Montreal, January 29 2014 – RDS, official NFL broadcaster, will start presenting Super Bowl XLVIII as of 5 p.m. ET on Sunday February 2nd with a 90-minute pre-game show. This ultimate showdown of American football will showcase the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, who will face off at the MetLife Stadium, in the suburbs of New York City.

In this interesting turn of event, this much awaited game will pit the most impenetrable defense against the most devastating offensive line of the 2013-2014 NFL season. In fact, the Seattle Seahawks’ defense, led by cornerback Richard Sherman, has allowed only 231 points in 16 encounters, whereas Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos’ offensive brigade have cumulated a total of 606 points during the regular season.

RDS will present live the entire Super Bowl XLVIII half-time show, staring Bruno Mars – who’s album Unorthodox Jukebox has won the title of best pop album of the year at the 56th annual Grammy awards this past Sunday – and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Fans will also get access to many pre-game ceremonies, including a performance by Renée Fleming, internationally renowned soprano.

David Arsenault will be hosting the evening on RDS with the analysts Matthieu Proulx and Mike Sutherland whereas Denis Casavant and Pierre Vercheval will insure the description of the game. During the pre-show, Didier Orméjuste will be joining in from the MetLife Stadium, where he has been covering all the Super Bowl XLVIII activities this past week for the all the RDS platforms.

All facts concerning both participating teams will also be covered all week long on the shows Sports 30 Le Magazine, Le 5 À 7 and l’Antichambre. In addition, a 60-minute special edition Sports 30 news bulletin will be broadcasted immediately after the Super Bowl XLVIII game Sunday night.
