Leaders of Major Quebec Political Parties to Be Interviewed on 5 À 7

Montreal, March 31, 2014—As part of the Quebec election campaign, the leaders of the major parties will appear on RDS’s show 5 À 7 to discuss various issues related to sport in Quebec.

Starting on Tuesday, April 1, the hosts of 5 À 7, Yanick Bouchard and Frédéric Plante, will offer viewers a ten-minute interview with a different party leader each day. They will address topics such as using public funds for professional sports, establishing a ministry of sport, physical education in schools, bringing NHL hockey back to Quebec City and MLB baseball back to Montreal, the indoor ice oval in Quebec City, the role of the Olympic Stadium and the hosting of the Canadian Grand Prix.

Each interview will also include a more personal discussion in which the candidates will talk about what sport means to them, both in terms of their daily lives and their cherished memories.
