MARCH 3 – HBO Max’s OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH *Series Premiere*
  • From creator David Jenkins and Emmy®-nominated executive producer Taika Waititi (WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, Jojo Rabbit), OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH is a new comedy series that’s (very) loosely based on the true adventures of 18th century would-be pirate, Stede Bonnet, played by Rhys Darby (FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS). After trading in the seemingly charmed life of a gentleman for one of a swashbuckling buccaneer, Stede becomes captain of the pirate ship Revenge. Struggling to earn the respect of his potentially mutinous crew, Stede’s fortunes change after a fateful run-in with the infamous Captain Blackbeard, played by Waititi. Stede and crew attempt to get their ship together, and survive life on the high seas. The cast also includes Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting), David Fane (BRO’TOWN), Nat Faxon (FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE), Fred Armisen (PORTLANDIA), Samba Schutte (SUNNYSIDE), Nathan Foad (BLOOD), Joel Fry (GAME OF THRONES), Leslie Jones (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), Samson Kayo (TRUTH SEEKERS), Guz Khan (MAN LIKE MOOBEEN), Rory Kinnear (PENNY DREADFUL), Matt Maher (Live by Night), Kristian Nairn (GAME OF THRONES), Con O’Neill (CHERNOBYL), and Vico Ortiz (Misdirection). MARCH 6 – STARZ’s SHINING VALE *Series Premiere*
  • STARZ’s SHINING VALE is an eight episode, half-hour horror comedy about a dysfunctional family that moves from the city to a small town into a house in which terrible atrocities have taken place. But, no one seems to notice except for Pat, who’s convinced she’s either depressed or possessed. As it turns out, the symptoms are exactly the same. Patricia “Pat” Phelps (Courteney Cox) is a former “wild child” who rose to fame by writing a raunchy, drug-and-alcohol-soaked women’s empowerment novel. Fast forward 17 years later, Pat is clean and sober but totally unfulfilled. She still hasn’t written her second novel; she can’t remember the last time she had sex with her husband (Greg Kinnear); and her teenage kids are at that stage where they want you dead. She was a faithful wife until her one slip-up: she had a torrid affair with the hot, young handyman who came over to fix the sink while Terry was at work. In a last-ditch effort to save their marriage, she and Terry cash in all their savings and the family move from the “crazy” of the city to a large, old house in the suburbs that has a storied past of its own. Everyone has their demons, but for Pat Phelps, they may be real. SHINING VALE premieres with two episodes on Sunday, March 6, with subsequent new episodes dropping Sundays on STARZ.

Delgado wants to rule this new world, and will stop at nothing to secure that outcome. In this adrenalized and expansive drama which examines a stark political and cultural divide in American society, Alma must contend with the gangs, militias, demagogues, and warlords that control this lawless no man’s land.
