- HBO Max’s THERE IS NO “I” IN THREESOME, joins Crave on Thursday, March 4. The documentary follows a long-distance couple as they take a giant leap of faith and embark on a risqué adventure of sexual experimentation. In the lead-up to their wedding day, Ollie and Zoe throw traditional rules to the wind in favour of an open relationship, self-documenting their journey with honesty – from the good, to the bad, and everything in between. What begins as a fun way to explore themselves and satisfy curious libidos, quickly evolves into an intense examination of their relationship and how much it can withstand. Filmed primarily using phone cameras and video chats, THERE IS NO “I” IN THREESOME is an intimate, surprising look at a modern-day love story.
- Two travellers on the run from a band of vengeful hunters in the 1820s, dream of striking it rich. But their tenuous plan to make their fortune on the frontier comes to rely on the secret use of a landowner’s prized dairy cow. FIRST COW, which has been nominated for three Film Independent Spirit Awards, drops on Crave March 5. The film, directed by Kelly Reichardt from a screenplay by Reichardt and Jonathan Raymond and based on Raymond’s novel The Half Life, stars John Magaro (The Big Short), Alia Shawkat (SEARCH PARTY) Orion Lee (Skyfall), Toby Jones (The Hunger Games), Ewen Bremner (Wonder Woman), Scott Shepherd (X-Men: Dark Phoenix), Gary Farmer (Smoke Signals), and Lily Gladstone (BILLIONS).
- Following the debut of FRAMING BRITNEY SPEARS, five additional episodes from The New York Times Presents investigative series drop on Crave on Friday, March 5. The five additional episodes include: THEY GET BRAVE following health care professionals as they document their lives at the height of the coronavirus crisis in New York City; DOMINIC FIKE, AT FIRST tells the story of young musician, Dominic Fike, who is plucked from obscurity and given a multi-million dollar recording deal; THE KILLING OF BREONNA TAYLOR where a New York Times investigation examines what happened when police executed a warrant that resulted in the death of Taylor; HURRICANE OF FIRE follows the ferocious infernos in Australia at the beginning of 2020; and THE TEENAGER WHO HACKED TWITTER follows a 17-year-old kid in Tampa who is responsible for hacking the Twitter accounts of Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Kanye West and dozens of others.
- Season 1 of STARZ’s STEP UP: HIGH WATER premieres March 5. The series focuses on several ambitious young dancers in a contemporary performing arts school in Atlanta. Sage Odom (Ne-Yo) is the legendary founder of Atlanta’s famed High Water Performing Arts School. Collette (late Naya Rivera), is a former dancer turned High Water administrator whose passion for her students is only matched by her history with Sage, and secrets of her own. Dancers “Janelle” (Lauryn McClain) and “Tal” (Petrice Jones), are twins who are uprooted from suburban Ohio to live with their Uncle Al (Faizon Love). As the pair settle into their new home, a new school, and a new life, they face big challenges. Season 2 of the series begins rolling out on Crave following Season 1, and Season 3 is slated for next year. STEP UP: HIGH WATER follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Fridays.
- Known for delivering immersive reporting from the frontlines of global conflicts, civil uprisings and more, VICE returns to Crave Sunday, March 7 at 8 p.m. ET with a new slate of ground-breaking stories from its team of global correspondents, taking on a range of issues from police brutality in Nigeria to the continued shockwaves of President Trump’s foreign policy in Iran and Yemen. VICE follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.
- Joining Crave’s International Women’s Day Collections, Leading Women and Made By Women, on Monday, March 8 is the documentary UNDERPLAYED. An official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Tribeca Film Festival in 2020, the film, from award-winning documentary filmmaker Stacey Lee, examines gender inequality in the electronic dance music scene. Filmed in 2019 over the summer festival season, the film presents a portrait of the current status of equality issues in EDM through the lens of the female pioneers, next-generation artists, and industry leaders who are championing the change to inspire future generations. Ultimately, the film explores how gender disparity happens; a theme that transcends music and finds relevance in many of today’s industries. The documentary stars a diverse group of established DJs such as Alison Wonderland, Sherelle, and Canada’s own REZZ. Executive produced by Bud Light Canada.
- The new HBO documentary COVID DIARIES NYC premieres Tuesday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET and chronicles the lives of five young filmmakers, aged 17 to 21, who turn their cameras on themselves and tell the stories of their families during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City. “The Only Way to Live in Manhattan” is by Marcial Pilataxi, Aracelie Colón directs “My COVID Breakdown,” Camille Dianand chronicles “When My Dad Got COVID,” Shane Fleming helms “No Escape From New York”, and “Frontline Family” is directed by Arlet Guallpa.
