Crave continues to deliver weekly alerts highlighting new and noteworthy programming and scheduling changes for the week ahead. Highlights This Week  

• The latest Crave Original stand-up comedy special, TOM HENRY: 66 JOKES begins streaming Friday, May 15. From vegan cupcakes to tap dancing, Toronto native Tom Henry brings his hysterical brand of understated observational humour to Just For Laughs in this one-hour, 66-joke stand-up special.

 

• The all-new STARZ series HIGHTOWN premieres on Sunday, May 17. Set on iconic Cape Cod, the series follows one woman’s journey to sobriety, intertwined with an unfolding murder investigation. Jackie Quiñones (Monica Raymund, CHICAGO FIRE), a hard-partying National Marine Fisheries Service agent, has her free-wheeling life thrown into disarray when she discovers a body on the beach – another casualty of Cape Cod’s opioid epidemic. As a result of this trauma, Jackie takes the first steps toward becoming sober— until she becomes convinced that it’s up to her to solve the murder. The series also stars James Badge Dale (ONLY THE BRAVE), Riley Voelkel (ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO, THE ORIGINALS), Shane Harper (CODE BLACK, HAPPYLAND), Amaury Nolasco (PRISON BREAK, DECEPTION), Atkins Estimond (THE RESIDENT, LODGE 49), and Dohn Norwood (MINDHUNTER, THE SINNER).

 

• The Crave and TIFF Stay-at-Home Cinema initiative continues with Q&As and Crave screenings featuring SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and director Danny Boyle on Thursday, May 14; CRAZY RICH ASIANS director Jon M. • RUPAUL’S SECRET CELEBRITY DRAG RACE concludes with its fourth and final installment Friday, May 15 at 11 p.m. ET. Following new episodes of RUPAUL’s DRAG RACE Season 12 (Fridays at 9:30 p.m. ET on Crave), a new trio of celebrity contestants turn to beloved “Queen Supremes” to open their hearts and minds to the transformative power of drag. The celebrity contestants undergo a drag transformation and compete in fan-favourite challenges to win the title of “America’s Next Celebrity Drag Race Superstar” and prize money for a charity of their choice.

What to Watch for the Week of May 14-20 *All Programming Subject to Change  

• The new SHOWTIME documentary BASKETBALL COUNTY: IN THE WATER tells the story of Prince George’s County, Maryland, and its social, economic, and cultural evolution through the lens of some basketball’s biggest stars. Since 2000, the county just outside the nation’s capital as spawned some 25 NBA players, more than a dozen WNBA players, and countless more who have competed an elite universities, highlighting the decades-long prevalence of basketball within the region. The documentary begins streaming Friday, May 15 at 9 p.m. ET.

 

• The Crave Original Series DARK SIDE OF THE RING continues Season 2 on Tuesday, May 19 at 10 p.m. ET. Episode 10 tells the story of Owen Hart. In 1999, Owen Hart fell 80 feet to his death in a stunt that went tragically wrong; Owen’s widow, Martha, bravely relives her husband’s final day and reveals the mistakes that took his life.
