Created by Sam Jay and Prentice Penny (HBO’s INSECURE), the series features a new take on the late-night talk show format, and uses a fresh lens to plunge into the cultural issues that divide us. Each week, Sam hosts a party at her apartment, where she and her guests explore current topics. MAY 21 – WONDER WOMAN 1984 *Movie Premiere*
- As the summer season officially kicks off, the blockbuster action-adventure WONDER WOMAN 1984 drops on Crave on Friday, May 21. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) lives quietly among mortals in the vibrant, sleek 1980s – an era of excess driven by the pursuit of having it all. Though she’s come into her full powers, she maintains a low profile by curating ancient artifacts, and only performing heroic acts incognito. But soon, Diana will have to muster all of her strength, wisdom, and courage as she finds herself squaring off against Maxwell Lord and the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins, and stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva, Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord, and Robin Wright as Antiope.

- Hosted by Ken Jeong, first-of-its-kind worldwide event, SEE US UNITE FOR CHANGE, celebrates and pays tribute to the current Asian American experience. Through music and comedy performances, short film packages and speakers, the special aims to inspire and educate viewers about the impact that the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community has had in America, as well as how to move forward and further support on-the-ground efforts to build solidarity against hate. The executive producers of this historic event are Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Founder of Care.com, and Jesse Collins, Kimmie Kim and Carol Donovan of Jesse Collins Entertainment.
MAY 23 – HBO’s IN TREATMENT *Season 4 Premiere*
- Ten years after the Season 3 finale, HBO’s Emmy-winning drama series IN TREATMENT returns for its fourth season, premiering with two episodes on Sunday, May 23 at 9 p.m. ET. Emmy winner Uzo Aduba (MRS. AMERICA, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) plays the observant, empathetic Dr. Brooke Taylor, the therapist at the centre of the season. The reimagining of the series is set in present-day Los Angeles, and brings a diverse trio of patients in session with Brooke to help navigate a variety of modern concerns. Issues such as the global pandemic and recent major social and cultural shifts are a backdrop to the work Brooke will undertake – all while she deals with complications in her own personal life. IN TREATMENT follows a bi-weekly release schedule, with two new episodes dropping each Sunday and Monday at 9 p.m. ET.
MAY 23 – SHOWTIME’s THE CHI *Season 4 Premiere*
- Season 4 of SHOWTIME’s THE CHI premieres Sunday, May 23 at 9 p.m. ET. On Chicago’s south side, an average day finds kids prepping for school as their parents head off to work, young adults trying to make a living, and the elders keeping an eye on things from their front porches. But in this tough neighbourhood, real dangers threaten daily to squelch dreams, and the simplest decisions can have life or death consequences. From Emmy-winner Lena Waithe, THE CHI is a timely coming-of-age drama series centred on a group of residents who become linked by coincidence, but bonded by the need for connection and redemption. THE CHI follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes available to stream Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
MAY 23 – SHOWTIME’s BLACK MONDAY *Season 3 Premiere*
- Season 3 of SHOWTIME’s BLACK MONDAY premieres Sunday, May 23 at 10 p.m. ET. In the new season, the motley crew is ready to embrace the ‘90s in all of its outrageous splendour. With the financial world in their cocaine covered rearview mirror, everyone’s favourite do-badders face an existential question – what’s a player to do when their balls have been taken away? The answer… change the game. And while there may be dark clouds on the horizon, the posse always comes to reign. Starring Don Cheadle, Regina Hall, Andrew Rannells, Casey Wilson, and Paul Scheer, BLACK MONDAY follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
MAY 23 – SHOWTIME’s FLATBUSH MISDEMEANORS *New Series Premiere*
- The new SHOWTIME series FLATBUSH MISDEMEANORS premieres Sunday, May 23 at 10:30 p.m. ET. In this irreverent new comedy series, rising comedians Dan Perlman (THE ILIZA SHLESINGER SKETCH SHOW) and Kevin Iso (Alexander IRL, Beware of Dog) play fictionalized versions of themselves: neighbourhood best friends, and urban millennials hilariously climbing the ladder to nowhere. But even inside the losing, Dan and Kevin find there are little wins that come from tackling hipsters, mental health issues, and the rising tide of gentrification. FLATBUSH MISDEMEANORS follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET.
