MAY 27 – DEAR EVAN HANSEN *Movie Premiere*
  • Adapted from the hit Tony award-winning musical of the same name, and starring Ben Platt reprising his Broadway role, DEAR EVAN HANSEN streams Friday, May 27. Evan Hansen (Platt) is an anxious, isolated high-school student who is aching for understanding and belonging amid the chaos and cruelty of the social media age. He soon embarks on a journey of self-discovery when a letter he wrote for a writing exercise falls into the hands of a grieving couple, whose son took his own life.
MAY 27 – Kyle Brownrigg: Introducing Lyle *Crave Original Stand-Up Special Premiere*
  • In the second of Crave’s seven new original stand-up specials, filmed in front of a live audience during the 2021 Just For Laughs Festival in Montréal, comic Kyle Brownrigg takes the stage in this hilarious half-hour special, where he laments gender reveal parties, talks about his Irish boyfriend, and introduces the world to his drunk persona, Lyle. The homegrown Crave Original special drops Friday, May 27.
MAY 27 – Crave Original Series SHORESY *Season Finale*
  • The final two episodes of Season 1 of the LETTERKENNY spinoff series SHORESY drop Friday, May 27. Following the series premiere, which is now the most-watched Canadian series debut on Crave, SHORESY received rave reviews and feature stories, with John Doyle from The Globe and Mail praising it as “a real hockey show about real hockey” and Kelly Boutsalis from Toronto Star calling the show a “love letter to scrappy minor league hockey, rich with Indigenous representation.” In the season finale, the Bulldogs face the powerhouse Soo Cyclones in a two-game series.
MAY 30 – FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE *Movie Premiere*
  • Warner Bros. Pictures’ FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE, the newest adventure in the Wizarding World created by J.K. Rowling, will be available to stream on Crave on Monday, May 30. Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander, (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches, and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts, and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But, with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
MAY 30 – HBO’s WE OWN THIS CITY *Series Finale*
  • The finale of HBO’s critically acclaimed limited series from George Pelecanos and David Simon (THE WIRE, SHOW ME A HERO, TREME), WE OWN THIS CITY debuts Monday, May 30 at 9 p.m. ET. Based on the book by Baltimore Sunreporter Justin Fenton, the series chronicles the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force, and the corruption and moral collapse that befell an American city in which the policies of drug prohibition and mass arrest were championed at the expense of actual police work. In the series finale, Suiter (Jamie Hector) grows concerned about his grand jury subpoena; Jenkins (Jon Bernthal) learns his fellow officers are cooperating with the investigation as the full extent of his crimes comes to light; Davis (Delaney Williams) and the mayor’s office go head-to-head on funding for the consent decree; while Steele (Wunmi Mosaku) questions whether the U.S. justice system can ever be changed.

  • Beginning June 1 and all month long, Crave raises the flag for Pride Month with a number of collections featuring movies, series, and specials that celebrate the LGBTQ2S+ community.
